    bhacd:

This was suggested and it seem to work. When you bring the cursor back to start your downswing, if you hold it at your required putt-strength and then instead of just letting go for the downswing you let go and click, it will restart the grid.

This does work, i was trying it for some of our members that use those moving dots. You just need to click your mouse as SOON as you let it go, before the line with the yellow arrow you see in the image below. Hope this helps. Thanks bhacd.

Not a perfect fix, but it works.

Doubt this will get posted as I seem be banned from posting now, but what the hell.....

For miss the ding putters having the grid dots moving on the down swing is important as there is a difference between the preview grid speed and the shot speed.

If you miss the ding for the preview speed you will be under the cup most of the time as the break is actually harder than it appears in that view. If you putt for the downswing break it is usually much closer.

I actually wonder if that's the real reason they shut it off, so you're always looking at the wrong break speed.

Why??????? after you start you swing whether the dots are moving or not has no affect on your putt.

because us misdingers use it to fine tune our putts just before clicking, so when its taken away the final part of the putting process is unfinished.

Do people play WITH the putting grid on all the time? Mine disappears when I power up...

I tried that once and it drove me crazy not to mention my meter was really jumpy....

i guess it's all what you're used to....

Uh ... when you shot your putt, decision of missding, aiming and strenght is done, you have just to look at the meter, the green will not change during shooting.

I aim before the swing, so no problem with the new grid.  This is with  off ding and ding putts.

I can't see how this is a big deal ?

I must be missing something ?
