i never noticed the dots stopped until a m8 pointed it out in a game ,,i putt by using a point on meter and do not move the marker ,,or as people say off ding ,really just look how much break there is which takes about 3 seconds... plus if you are on the downswing havent you already started  your putt in motion so why would anyone need to see the dots moving ,,just saying

Oh dear.  Who would have thought some dots going on strike would cause the toys to be thrown out of the pram in such a dramatic fashion?

On the other hand, maybe I am dumb.  I really don't understand why watching the dots for those couple of seconds, while trying to also keep the meter in view, is more important than watching them move for half an hour before taking the putt if this takes your fancy.

Then again, my puting stats are better so why would I give a feck?

    I told you.

When deciding about the best miss-ding point during downswing, we (I) just decide spontanuously according to the grid dot moves - it's a habit broken by WGT which just changes the whole procedure.

Never even noticed any difference regarding grid dots. Thanks for at least attempting to improve meter 'stutters' though.

I've never seen the moving dots on the backswing, but I've always had the putting grid option turned off.

I've been using Flash14 for awhile now, before the last upgrade with comodo dragon and have near perfect meter.

Try different browsers, it might work.

Perhaps a misunderstanding, Roger. I'm happy enough at the moment with all aspects of game play....      putting tip wouldn't go amiss though :O)

I was just agreeing what you said in my first paragraph.    The rest was directed to others. For putting tips...  you're at the stage of getting tips from a higher source than me....lol or should I say, from a very good player

    To everybody else....lol

My old puter, which had pretty basic recourses I had to try every trick in the book to play the game.  One of them was having the Putting Grid Turned Off...  If it was on, then the meter would stutter worse than me after a load of Jimmies...lol

I'm a miss ding putter and only move aim on fast breaks and still miss ding.  I can now understand why having the dots moving at the same time ya putting is good.

My new puter ( I think they use the same at Nasa...lol)  ...  Not many problems...  I complete Multi player games now... only to watch others disco (I know that feeling).   3 Mins to get back to a Alt shot match is too short.....   but we wanted a shorter timer didn't we.

With my new puter I have no probs with the game....  except for my old brain, that's a worry...lol, I do understand why everybody is cracking it though... been there done that.

I like to thank Wgt for trying to make things better and the replies we get from them at the moment which is keeping us all informed to what they are doing...  Big tick from me :)

So lets us all try to work with them...  keep sending in the things that go wrong, but in a friendly way.

    -Roger

So please stop being unhelpful, i know this is asking a lot from you but put on your big boy pants and act like an adult PLEASE AND THANK YOU.   WGT please make the dots move again, the game is unplayable for me and others. I didnt ask for you to do this, you are discriminating against people who have good computers, you will lose money with this, you will lose mines

    borntobesting:

One question for all you off dingers. Do you aim straight at the hole in real golf then pull or push your putt to offset the break??? I have never seen a player yet that played like that so why do it here???

its easier to miss the ding in the right spot then it is to ding it. In real golf ,Hitting off the toe or the heal (miss hit) is just not done. But it does happen.  Perfect swing takes practice. lol

RE: stopping the grid dots on the down swing

We have done substantial work to smooth the meter for lower end machines.  Part of the issue was when the dots were moving on the grid it could max out your PC's resources and cause a stutter in the meter.  So to make it better we stop all flash objects on the down swing except for the meter itself. thanks for understanding and I hope you appreciate the change

Regarding the required upgrade for flash player: We looked at the user submitted reports and the majority of the people crashing or disconnecting were using a old version of flash.  We apologize for asking you to upgrade but it should make the overall experience better. thanks for understanding.

(plus the old version of flash have security faults and should not be used)

If this doe's not do the trick,,Would you please change it back

    thank you.
