I say let everybody buy whatever they can afford. WGT  (IMO) has not done enough to stop sandbaggers, nor can they do enough, it would take up all their time. Let those miserable sorry SOB's play their games if they call it a game. Like several posts on here, I agree you can go into any pro shop or golf shop and buy whatever you want. In real life I have an 8.0 Cobra ZL which I have no business having in my bag, however I hit it damn good or else I could not even compete with my sons. You want to slow down the sandbaggers, take the guy in the community spotlight yesterday level 17-Hack-avg 61. Should pop up on his screen immediately, Congratulations you have made Tour Master, now he is on greens from hell and long tees. Sure he will open a new account, RED FLAG don't you think WGT. I went to Master at 66 would have preferred to stay a Tour Pro, so much for honesty on my part. I think every time you hit the ball other than practice should be recorded and levels and tiers adjusted accordingly. This will stop some of the 4 ranked rounds played, level 17 hacks that whoop the hell out players 4 tiers higher.

they'll just start a new account and begin gifting equipment from their other account.

you cant gift higher level stuff to a lower level..can you?

No, but say the person banked up a lot of credits and starts another account, as the other account moves up, the person could begin gifting better clubs/balls to the other account.

The original account would probably go quite dormant  (ie, he would stop playing RG's and other 'play for pay' games...) The exception being that you would see lot's of gifting to his alter-ego..

That should be the clue which should tipoff WGT to the identity of cheaters...

hei guys i am sure this guy is either cheating or doing something bad, check out LTDMIN  this guy only plays ready goes and has no freinds or replays, he looks a bit suspicious in my opinion.

      "Whiny ***"..aka..Naughtyone here again..

After all is said and done-WGT HAS MADE IT BETTER THAN IT WAS.. I have been on here a year and have seen the changes..

Better clubs costs more money--a fact you have to live with. After we all get the clubs we need to be competitive--what's left you say??   THE BALLS  WGT SELLS IS WHAT....This is where WGT is cleaning up..

Can you imagine the intake of money from the sales of just Callaway  S & Z typeVapor balls? There are THOUSANDS playing this site--and I'd bet  a couple thousand use the Callaway's at some level.

I own a nite club in Jamaica as an investment towards retirement..but if WGT ever starts selling stock in their site--you can bet I'll buy all I can..  Thanx for letting mee vent..

I can see why WGT uses the level up method for what you can buy but let me offer an alternative solution.

Lets say I want to go ahead and equip my bag now to get ready for Tour Pro and then on give me the option of buying what I want at an increased price or playing the rounds and working on my game to unlock them.  For instance a driver that costs 1k credits as a Legend will cost me 2k to purchase right now.  That still brings the money in, allows people like me that intend to play this game off and on for as long as I can see to enjoy it more, and people who might not have my resources to draw on to save money in the long run.  Win / Win I think but I'm sure someone will poke holes in that.

How would that be win/win. The sandbagging is bad enough as it is now. If they let you buy anything you wanted  no matter what level or tier it would be a sandbaggers heaven.

    DarSum:

Let's use drivers for for example: once you become a Master you're limited to the R9 275yrd. Once you make TM you're limited to the R9 280yrd.

Why the difference? TM and M play the same length, only the green speeds are faster.

How bout maybe try a level tier combination for unlocking equipment? Say you have to reach a certain level/ tier combination to unlock equipment. That would force people to play ranked rounds also to get better equipment. If you level up but don't tier up, no cigar.

    Just a thought
