    Dear all,

I'd just like to hear your opinions on whether you think the R1 is equally on par with the Big Bertha Alpha or the BBA is better.

I recently bought the BBA after having the R1 Black for sometime and somehow I am not impressed. The drives seem to be just the same and the R1 even does better to me.

Please let me know your experiences?

I like the bertha, help give more control from the drive and takes a shot off my game. But I'am still learning the game where I'm new to it.

I use the Bertha. I use it with the Nike RZN Black. My driving stat is 88.6 %. When I play Alt Shot, I am rarely/never out driven and I'm always in the best fairway location. I like the high trajectory. I am not even close to the consideration of a different product. ~ SP ~

Keep in mind you're not comparing like drivers. The BBA is a 9 degree driver where the R1 is eight. I like the R1 because of that-- you can handle wind a little better and the links courses respond well to flatter drives.

    Yep. Comparing apples to oranges.

I too prefer a driver that has a steeper face and a lower trajectory.

As much as I really want to game the 287 yd Big Bertha, being the Callaway fan that I am, I just didn't see it's worth over the L93 R1 that I already do have.

3,295 credits would be a lot of cr's for just a higher trajectory and Callaway driver to swing.

Think I'll just wait for the first driver over L100.  It's bound to happen, and hopefully it's worth a darn. ;-)

Perhaps it is my imagination, but the high trajectory of the Bertha seems to have "special magic" when faced with the holes we have that introduce those pesky tree branch ball snatchers. The ball goes right through them. Unique feature or my imagination ?
