why do I have to watch a 30 second commercial

Duffer....adblock and ghostery. I've never seen ad on here (video or page ad). Ghostery does have to be disabled (temporarily) if you want to watch vids for credits. Ghostery has no match in blocking trackers, cookies, ads, etc. To me, it's the best add-on that's ever been created.

And congrats on the CC bracket win. Well played throughout!!!

no way did 5 under best you man - you are generous ;)  - thanks - not sure how I made it out against Matt lol

mostly though - ty for the tip on the adblock - I've tried as hard as i can to honor the system and put my eyes on things that help wgt keep rolling along - maybe I'll use it to watch replays :) ......at the very least.

wgt might like to undo something, i dunno - worth mentioning.

    thanks again!!

    What's Ghostery?

    Hi Roger,

It's an add-on/extension. It's available for Chrome, Opera, Mozilla, and Firefox. Google ghostery or if you use one of those browsers, just go to add-ons or extensions and click "get add-ons" or extensions. typer ghostery in the search box. If you google it, just find the one for your browser. It only takes about 2-3 secinds to install, and then, be sure and click "block all" when you set it up (the set up page will come up once you add it). I block everything. I also use IceDragon because it doesn't save any cookies, or temp. files, and keeps no history. I also have Flash set like this:

If that link doesn't work, just go to ghostery.com and find the one for your browser. I also have a video on Youtube showing how to clean cache, and clean flash while playing or after playing. It's really simple. If i play 10-15 rounds back to back, I will clear it, even though there's not much there. Just in case. Hope this helps. Ghostery, CCleaner, Advanced System Care are ALL you need for a clean computer. I also use Spybot S&D, and Malwarebytes, and run those once a day. With Icedragon being a browser made by the best anti-virus company (Comodo) out there, I never have viruses, malware, spyware, etc. Never any traces of being online. And, I am on a 8 yr old Vista OS, with 3gigs of ram, so I do all I can to keep this old computer clean, and running smooth.

    Sorry for over-answering the question.

    Jay

I had used that USA special ball when i last was on, and when i clicked to play, I realized it when I was on the Tee. And, I just got the R11's a couple of days ago, and those two are not a good mix. I did do 4 birdies (thanks to the slow greens), but had a bogey, also. No excuse though. You smoked it all the way through the bracket. My 2nd CC bracket and my 2nd 2nd place. Always the bridesmaid :-(

as far as the ads. I pay to play, so I will do everything I can to block them. So far, so good.

    Stevnor:

Any progress on fixing the Flash version issue that is stopping Linux users?
The latest ,most up to date version is 11.2.202.378, your check fails if older than 11.4.
Changing browsers does not help, as the same file is used by all.
Google Chrome with pepperflash 'works' but is unplayable.
Just did 9 holes, no fairways hit, no GIR, 7 bogeys, 2 db. I am lvl 91, playing like a hack.
Please, next time you have downtime, change that 11.4 to 11.2.
    Steve

+1 I've had to move to Chrome with pepperflash as well, and it's by no means perfect. Adobe have discontinued flash support/updates for unix operating systems, so as you correctly say you are on the most up to date release for unix available...

The only way I can get a smooth meter running pepperflash is by only running the game client and no other applications or browser windows open. Meter speed seems a bit faster than it was though. HTH for the time being.

Adobe still provides security updates. Damn I hate Adobe.

NOTE: Adobe Flash Player 11.2 will be the last version to target Linux as a supported platform. Adobe will continue to provide security backports to Flash Player 11.2 for Linux.

BTW, Steam is putting out Linux game ports left and right. Never been a better time to move to Linux. Less resource usage, better memory utilization, no need for AV or all the other crap you need to keep Windows safe on the Internet and messing with your meter.

    WGTicon:
I was told there are some match play and alt shot disconnect improvements. Please report if you notice anything good or bad

I noticed something odd in an MP game last night (20-odd hrs after the downtime): we went to extra holes, and I think it was my attempt to grab Replay links (using Menu>SaveReplayofLastShot>Share>Copy method) that sent us into disco-land.

I'd been doing that no problem throughout the match in regulation holes, but the disco problems appear to have prompted by trying it during extra holes.

I'm not sure how this is possible, but perhaps someone (in the community?) could test this theory, and if verifiable, maybe the programmers could investigate...

Sorry, there was too much happening to try and right-click bug report the issue!

the update for flash player will render  the game unplayable, once you install version 14 there is only 1 file and it is the pepper flash, so if you disable it, then you do not get a PLAY NOW button, if you enable it then you get play now but then meter does the register the click 2 mm from where you clicked........ WGT YOU ARE HORRIBLE AT UPDATES
