    Hello,

I don't understand how the average score works. Today I was 62.26, I play a unlimited 9-hole tournament (that I've allready made with a better score), my score is -3 (32) and my average score went down to 61.26 (-1). But the manual says:

Your Average Score will be based on ONLY your best scores

It was not my best score so why my average score has decreased and why so much?

    Thanks :)

It's your best scores overall at the tier, not the best score posted in a particular competition. If multiple scores in a tournament qualify overall as your best, they all factor into the "average".

So why my average score has decreased by 1 after a "poor" -3 (which is very far from my average score)? And my best score was made at the same tier.

    Thanks :)

Tournament scores are also weighed slightly heavier then a Individual Stroke play ranked round.  So that could of factored into the drop as well.

You are the first to say so, and all my local calculations tell of equal weights. Excuse me, me thinks this is wrong information.

Ok... But I almost never play a Stroke ranked round, only tournament ;)

For example now my average score is 61.22,after playing the Transamerica championship (I've made -6). So with a -6 on a 18 holes tournament my average score decreases by 0.06, but with a -3 on a 9 holes tournament my average score decreases by 1! And I'm sure of me because I have the old score and the new score at the same time:

    - the old average score in my browser because the page was not refreshed after the end of the tournament.

    - the new score in the game.

So why a so big difference?

Maybe you can detail your calculations... ? Thanks :)

    1) As a TM, the 50 best scores played as a TM count.

    2) Gross scores count, 9 hole rounds doubled: 32 = 64. (Par3 (Criquet), Par5 do not count)

    3) Since your average is saturated with more than 50 rounds from about 06-15, better scores kick out higher scores. A -1 is not possible though, but -0.2 is from (74-64)/50.

    4) Don't bother too much, the average follows your game, and when you're good enough, you're gonna tier up to Legend with an average of 61.00 or below.

    Enjoy the game!

From everything I have been told and seen, tournament scores are weighed slightly heavier.  It is not as easy as black and white.  I can't go into serious detail about the weights due to proprietary information.  Can just tell you that tournament scores are given more weight, especially if you place in that tournament.

    O.k....

I agree that tournament winnings have an influence, and of course I'm not as close to truth as you. I'll have an eye and an ear on that.
