Every time when I open the game window, the sound is ON though I turned it OFF
before. Verified during continuous browser operation! This appears new since
    the last(?) update.

    Report sent.

The WGT game client Game Settings/Options are recorded in small files - cookies - that are stored on your computer.

You might want to check the settings for how your browser handles cookies on your computer when your browser is closed.

That's the first thing I thought, but is it only happening for the "sound off" setting or is it all settings?

I use Safari on a Mac and I have noticed the same exact thing over the last month or so. Never used to be this way until a month or so ago.

I know this, dear knight. I have not activated any "delete cookies" action. If so, all game settings would be purged which is not the case.

You might also want to check my writing on the phrase "during continuous browser operation" which means that the browser was not closed, I repeat, NOT CLOSED in between. Only the game window was closed and re-opened while another browser window remained open, cookies and cache were not deleted.

I suspect that the information "SOUND OFF" isn't stored at all any more - would you kindly consider to test it yourself?

turn all the sounds completely down using their volume bar and leave sounds on , then you will only have to reset after clearing cache ...

This is what I did. Thanks for your effort.

Quite a good user's workaround - thank you. Fortunately, I use the sound on my PC only once in a while.

Alas, it was meant as a bug report. Sadly, chances are that it will be my eighth in six months passing unnoticed by the company.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for reporting this matter Alosso. We are working on a solution for this situation which popped up after the last release. Basically, if you turn the sound off in the settings, then close the site shell / game window, once you reopen the site shell the sound is magically back on. If you still want it off, go back to the settings.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have this resolved as soon as possible.
