Hi ev1,  I don't post in these forums much but I had to ask about this one...lol...

Is anybody having issues with the distance you hit? for example I hit 100 yrds with my wedge to go 103 yrds to the pin in a straight 8-10 tail wind with the smallest of back spin on it and it only went 94 yrds and I dinged it too, and the green was not elevated it was 2 down. This has happened on numerous occasions with other clubs too were the ball falls way short of the distance hit.

I have played this game long enough now to have a good idea of what to hit to the pin but since new equipment and maintenance with in the last month or so it has become a guessing game ... lol... My theory is the clubs have bug's or glitch's or may be certain hole's do, I'm not sure hence the reason for this post. Is anyone having the same issue or an idea why it happens? :)

I am not looking for an argument or having a moan here too...lol... I just wondered and wanted to see how bad it is for others or if it is happening to anyone else :)

    Happy golfing, Dave

yess my irons feels a little shorter...usually the lenght of the shaft gets in the way of my boobs when i swing lol ....now i find that its a little shorter about 6 inches and im happy  ..but since yesterday  the distances i hit is a little short about 2 to 3 yrds ..wonder if its my imagination  or not ...or maybe the wind has been tweaked to give a little more resistance....anyway i agree with you ...they  dont hit  as far as they usually do..

I'm guessing it was the 100yd Cleve? (I have that one) Can I ask was it on the fairway? I'm assuming it was. Did the ball roll backward at all?

I see sometimes my wedges might fall shorter than I calculate, or my PW goes 10 yds past my calculations.

I've been hitting for some time and I'm not the best but I always think that I'm just a slow learner. I'm speaking for myself, but I just haven't got the hang of hitting a nice one from the sand etc. (I might add a few ATVs in the future and mix them in if they are better for me)

Have the same club (Cleve 56 Wedge) & ball - I figure about 97% power on that shot (actual distance 98 yds)  however, this is based upon about 1 dot of top spin. If I use any back spin with that club/ball combo & power over ~ 80%, the ball backs up.

From the length of time that you've been here & the number of rounds that you have played, I would expect that you'd have a pretty good handle on whether that particular hole plays longer or shorter that WGT's stated distance.  ( Just kid'a asking if that correction factor was applied).

You are a much better player than me, but I haven't noticed any extraordinary deviations in ball travel in the past few weeks.

Just this morning, I had a 100 yd ATV wedge FLY 110 yds with a 15 mph tailwind (14-16) ... maybe 104 or 105 normally. And considering I had a little backspin on it to make it check up at about 103 or 4 ... I was totally dumbfounded. Can't explain it either ... dinged shot. Next hole, 91 yd shot with the same wedge goes 96 in a near 90 degree crosswind. Just enough to destroy what could have been a nice 17 under round. Nice deviation job WGT ... try again Don.

Oh ... both of those shots were to greens that were level with the fairway ... more or less. I think 1 foot upward for both. And I've hit shots to those two greens enough to know that there is no addition or subtraction necessary to acquire the right distance.

Feel applies to what you think will work in a given situation based on what you've done in the past. For instance, you usually have more than one way to get to a certain distance. What makes you pick one over the other?

Most of the time i choose whats worked in the past but thats not feel to me its repetition
