You're playing a practice round by yourself, trying to figure out approaches and strategies. Why can't you have a do-over on a shot, so you can compare different approaches? Obviously this is inappropriate for a match, but isn't that what practice is for?

i think it's because they don't want you to be able to hit the same shot repeatedly, allowing you to eventually master any given shot.

But surely thats why you practice, to master a shot.

in WGT's eyes, a mulligan is different than being able to play a hole or series of holes over and ove - because you will never find yourself with the exact spot on a shot twice, making it a lot easier to master that shot. but yes, i do agree with you shoot. i say who cares about whether or not any player masters a specific shot. i like being able to try many times to see what works and what doesn't.

I agree. I would like to practice different shots at the same position. And as far as shooting one shot over and over again, what does anyone thing CTTP shots are, over and over again. But I would like to place my shots where I would like to practice at, not have WGT do it.

great idea corace - select course and hole, point and drop. shoot the shot as many times as u like. that would be a lot of fun

I remember my old Links LS 2000 game you could pick individual holes to play, take mulligans and all sorts of cool practice mode stuff.  Of course that was a CD-ROM game whereas this being an Online Flash driven game , the ability to reload on demand like that might not be possible. I'm no Tekkie so I might just be blowing smoke,  but with the amount of info that has to be sent...who knows.

Maybe WGT could set up a CTTH type scenario for Long Drives and Long Putts that way you could take 9 Drives or Putts or Mid-Iron Shots in a row.  I always thought a compilation of Par 3's from all the courses would make for a fun round.

I just try to enjoy what they give us and look forward to the next course pre US Open .

    Happy Golfing
