Okay, just done a little test to back up my theory.  Played one hole and made 3 putts on the green, one of 5 feet which was deliberately not aimed at the cup, a second one of 4.1 feet which again was not aimed at the cup, and my third which was 5.3 feet and holed out.

Here is the scorecard for that hole...

...if the image isn't big enough, click on it. It reveals that the total distance MADE putts is 5.32 feet.

Therefore MADE putts in my opinion = holed putts.

i guess the best explanation i can come up with is....of all your putts taken 47.5 % were made 5 feet and in....if you add all those % made it gives you 63.46 % made of all putts taken

so if 1000 putts were taken you made 475 within 5 feet, and so on....your total made were 634 and 366 missed ...doesn`t tell you what % of 5 and in taken you made

whats missing is the distances of the missed putts

Until WGT comes up with a definitive answer on this no one can be certain exactly what they mean.

Now, you probably do. But with your total number of putts stat at over 65K, any change to the putting stat percentages is going to be microscopicable (Yancy, get out of my head!  lol).

Thought I had this but maybe not.

My ave putts per hole is 1.56 so 28.08 for an 18 hole round.

If I add the %'s for each distance in my average I get 63.57%, this as a percentage of 28.08 gives me 17.85 putts.  Looks to me like successful putts but not necessarily first putts.

    A breakdown would be 0-5ft      44.60% = 12.52 putts per round

                                               5-10ft   12.50% =  3.51

                                               10-25ft   5.92% =  1.66

                                               25ft-50ft 0.52% =  0.15

                                      Total Soccessful       = 17.84

                                               Missed               = 10.23

                                      Total putts each 18   = 28.07

So the %'s in the distance section just tell what distance your final putt is from. The first bracket (5-10ft) would seem to me to be of minimal help in showing how good a putter you are as this could be where your approaches or first putts often land.  Better to look at putts per hole.

Don't really know why 17.84 not 18, maybe the occasional holed approach (?)

    Scott's would be 1.56 per hole = 28.08 for 18 holes with the groups giving: 13.94 putts (at 0-5ft), 2.91 (5-10ft), 1.45 (10-25ft) and 0.11 (25-50ft). Total 17.81(2) putts each 18 holes with 10.26 putts missed.

Sorry if this is all nonsense, makes sense to me but perhaps only to me.

Perhaps a trip to the local physicians clinic is in order, for some Diagnosables. They might be able to recommend you a regimented treatment programme, and such.
