In honor of Play 9 Day - I have a few questions for you all :)

  Playing much more real golf this year...out medically most of last year. Also, playing more WGT golf than last year.

  In real golf, about 50-50... 9 holes or 18 holes. On WGT, 95 percent 9 holes.

  CTTH on real course? Never.

  Quit RL golf a couple of years ago. Just virtual golf for me. But, I enjoy it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Even with all the quirks, and minor glitches, this is a very entertaining, fun, and addicting game. Plus, I don't have to drive home after drinking :-) . The wife left me when I met WGT, and for that I thank you.

  The RL CTTH seems like a lot of trouble (the measuring, etc).

  heres the thing....i always say im only playing nine, then end up always playing 18..(in real golf).

   

  here i usually play nine so i can get more rounds in with friends.

   

  playing alot more real golf the last few years, and the CTTH on real courses would be fantastic.

  1. Over the last 5 years I have played less real golf, partly as I no longer have the time available and partly as my handicap has been rising and I am despondent. I used to play 2-3 times per week (sometimes more depending on my schedule) and spend hours on the range/practice greens. Rounds on WGT have diminished too, I get tired of bugs that seem to constantly affect the gameplay.

  2. In real golf I seldom play a 9 hole round, unless it is a twilight game - otherwise always 18. WGT is the opposite whereby 9's are easier to have a good score lol. but happy to play 18 but not in a large group as it takes too long waiting for others.

  3. No thanks, but I do not play them on here either. And how the heck could this be done on a real course?

  1. More real golf, less WGT golf.

  I love the real thing more than anything else (almost), and now I do it since I can. WGT has to stand back, and the poor state of MP games doesn't encourage me either.

  2. Real golf, 18 holes (formerly, 27), even though my home course is only 9 holes. Thus the balance between effort (driving time) and fun is better.

  WGT, 9 holes. It's more comfortable to have the option of a pause before selecting the second (or different) nine, and in MPs, one hour at a stretch is enough.

  3. Strong dislike! You'd have to run around on the course for a shot here and a shot there. Too much time for too little shots - never!

  I like unusual play, like only three clubs or special tasks or a nightie or reverse play, but not such intermittant <enter a nasty word>.

  Edit:

  I'm positive towards 9 hole play IRL. There are enough reasons for not having 4-5 hours available, and over here, golf is not a people's sport per se. It was elitarian for 90 years and only has become very popular in the last 20 years, attracting many who would have played Tennis before. A majority of the (mandatory!) members are golf seniors (55+), and for the elder of these, 9 holes are just right.

  I'd not mind to go out for nine more frequently if I were closer to the course...

  as for wgt love 9 hole rounds,,  can play more rounds an lot less stress an also can get more friendly's inbetween games......

  More real golf. About the same on here.

  18 holes usually sometimes if i play late I'll only play 9. mostly 9 here. 

  Have done it once on a par 3 course. It was a special CTTH tourney sponsored by a local radio station. 9 shots took almost all day. Of course there were something like 100 people playing so you spent much more time just waiting. I'll never do it again.

  I have played 40 times real life since 3/9/2014.  And today made 893 days of virtual golf in a row. I plan on playing way more real life, and i wont let mt streak die unless my heart stops beating. TOTALLY ADDICTED TO GOLF (virtual & Real life)

  I only play Real Golf at the Annual Weekend away with the guys (20)  from the Golf Social Club now. Never missed one since I started in '89.

  The rest of my spare time is spent on Wgt

  When I do venture out...  Always 18 holes of real golf.   In Wgt I play more 9 holes than 18 holes because of time limits.

  Not sure what you mean by this question Icon.  

  I don't play many Ctth games on Wgt.  They are not bad, but the 9/18 hole games on Wgt are the ones I like. 

  If you're talking about Ctth games in Real Golf...well that's a no-no.
