Facebook account

    When I first visited the wgt.com site, I used the signup with Facebook option.  SInce then I have invited a number of players to join.  They started asking why I was not responding to messages they have sent.  Since then I have learned that those who sign up through the main site, not using the Facebook account, have more options than those who sign up through Facebook.  Specifically the ability to message other players.  This would also explain why I haven't heard from friends I have made since becoming a member.  I do not recall any notice while signing up that a Facebook login would give me a substandard experience.  I'd like to transfer from a Facebook account to a fully featured account through the main site.  Can anyone help?

    I have a few club members that signed up through Facebook and they miss out on a lot. If anyone reading this signed up through Facebook and haven't yet progressed too far or spent too much I'd recommend closing your account and restarting.

    Email WGT with your request. I know of at least one Tour Legend player that was experiencing the same or similar difficulties, and was allowed to sign up through the WGT site and create a new account.

    Thanks for the replies!  One of the things I really enjoy about WGT is players sharing advice and tips on the forums.  I have sent several pieces of email to tech support.  I got a reply explaining that the reason there is no messaging for Facebook users is because they assume that Facebook players will message on Facebook.  I have added friends, but I have no idea if they are on Facebook, or if they are, how to find them on Facebook.

    While clicking around trying to find a solution, I have noticed the main site has a "log in with your Facebook account" option, but I get a message saying the site can't find my FB account.  I have also gotten a popup screen asking if I'd like to link a WGT account with my Facebook account.  Having read the warnings about having multiple accounts, I've been hesitant to create a new account.  The fact that those two options exist would seem to indicate that others have had the same problem. 

    I have considered closing the account, and starting over.  But, I've advanced to level 53, and have attained tour pro status.  And, I've purchased equipment.  I would hate to lose progress and purchases, so I don't think starting over is the way I want to go.

    Thanks again for the suggestions.  I'm hopeful there's a way to get the benefits of an account through the main site without abandoning what I've done so far, and will keep messaging support to see if that is possible.
