  There's no doubt that using this program or one like it constitutes cheating, but I'm not so sure that any great advantage is obtained.  For example, the L96 Versa, like the Rossa, is more of a mis-ding putter on anything but dead straight putts (which are few and far between) in my experience.  Now there may be some advantage on drives (negligible) and approaches, but as some have noted, in any kind of wind ding isn't necessarily king.

  I sense a bit of "much ado about nothing" in all this...no great advantage to the user, but downloading and using it, especially for credit games, reveals a tremendous lack of character in the user.

  I said my last go at this a while back, lol.

  On this one I must fundamentally disagree with you Mark.  In some winds ding is not king I agree.  I also agree the Versa can be used to mix and match breaking putts by using some miss ding to hold a line etc.

  However, in the hands of a competent player (such as you) knowing when you need to ding is also very important.  It won't make a poor player good ,but in a RG where a shot or two is huge it will (if it works as advertised) often be the difference.

  I marvel at the level of sadness in this, people who play a computer game for entertainment, paying to get a computer to play the game for them in some hope of winning virtual computer money and kudos

  You are kidding me right?  I have been playing golf for 40+ years and have never seen a "Shot Master'  that is available nor legal per USGA.  Look, if u have to use that kind of a crutch, then u have now respect for the game.  Better clubs, better balls, sure.  But I challenge 90% of the players here to hit a shot as long and straight as they do here on a REAL golf course. And on the courses we are playing I would bet there is not 1% here who could break 100 on these course.  Chill out and play the game for fun!!!!!!!!

  This program has been on the VGG website for awhile now...when I saw weeks ago I was like WTF, I downloaded it to look at it just to see if it worked(really) to find out if all this practicing was a waste of time because some players just needed a software to beat me...

  it has a free trial then it is like $3 for a 1000 shots...

  WGT can't detect it because you set the timing like any other auto-click, it doesn't interact with WGT in any way...and while it may help newbies, if you have been here for awhile and it improves your game then you suck anyway, you will not hit the ding every time in fact you will miss by a lot more than you would without it most of the time, WGT has the meter racing through the hitting area, the occasional jump, all are counter measures for programs like this whether intentional or not...I'd rather pay $7 for the slower meter balls any day and I don't...

  Now could you make it work better, I'm sure you could if you wanted to map the timing on every course you play everyday as it changes from day to day...I'll pass! IMO, much ado about nothing for anyone other than new players..

   

   

  I would like to see WGT have the meter vary the time of a hesitation  at the top of the swing and give us a smooth consistent meter as it should be if we pay extra for slow meter balls instead of racing through the hitting zone ...I actually put a 3.0 meter ball in play once that was slower than the 3.5 meter ball through the hitting zone, that's BS...

   

  So dan you admit to downloading this cheat?

  Surely WGT can get a copy of this, after all its advertised here, see what process it runs on, and scan running process on the players machine during shot loading sequence.

  If they sit there for the length of time it takes to accumulate that many credits, the amazon gift card won't offset the legal costs let alone the divorce settlement...
