Yup, it's a crazy world, mm, lol!

For the last UEL Ryder Cup I did switch flags (on Dazza's insistence!) but I think it unwise after all the kerfuffle around being honest about where you reside.

I am an ex-pat Scot, living in California. To me, the Ryder Cup is all about affinity, rather than residence, so it would be anathema for me to play for the US. Sorry! And Devon, early on, said his allegiance was to the US (but lives in Canada).

    Corwyn:
Remaining captain's picks (two per team) are awaiting final confirmation, but will be announced later today, with full theatrical flourish, in a joint New York/Gleneagles livestreamed telecast (okay, I'm kidding on this last part ...)

    And, drum roll, drum roll...

... the ROW captain's picks are Tess (Priestess) and Jon (jsweetcr).

Both are veterans of the UEL Ryder Cup, having represented the ROW team with distinction in the inaugural UEL Ryder Cup @ Merion earlier this year.

We are delighted to have them round out our outstanding team. Go ROW!!!

And the USA captain's picks are JJ656 and GolferDadRB.

JJ656 is not much of a surprise since I offered him the position a few weeks ago, and has been at the top of several UEL Tournament leader boards.

GolferDadRB was just notified a few hours ago. He has played UEL very well and consistently during the spring qualifier and though out the summer WGT weekly and monthly UEL tournaments.

Please welcome these fine players to the USA Ryder Cup team.

    Go USA !!!

    mmyers0:

Corwyn plays for ROW while sporting a US flag and devonnnnn plays for US with a Canadian. That isn't confusing at all, no sir.

I also would want to add on that 2 players from my own CC are on the u.s team so it only seems fair I join them on their team too. I was with team u.s.a last time :)

Thanks Corwyn for selecting me to the team. I had a lot of fun in the least one and look forward to this one as well.

Thanks again to you as well for all your hard work organizing this.

    Good Luck to everyone

Sorry Gary, it is too late. This event had a lengthy qualifying process. See first post (and links) for details:

    Corwyn:
As detailed in the Uneven Lies Ryder Cup @ Pinehurst: Qualification Thread players have earned their places on the US and ROW teams for this event through participation in the UEL Spring 2014 Tour.

    Good luck to all participants.

Kudos to Corwyn for putting in the time and effort required to get this comp' off the ground and for all his future endeavours in making the event this time around the success I'm sure it will be once again.

    I'll be there in spirit........................hic :)

Any plans to stream any of the ties as they would make for fascinating viewing?

    Go RoW!!!
