no way I'll spend any money here until play around the green is changed...... what a joke... really..... why is it so bad? I shoot in the upper 80's ......and probably give back 5-9 shots a round because the short play is such BS.... otherwise, I love it... but won't buy more credits or contribute anything else... I have no issues with the putting....

I think the problem is the game is very realistic around the greens with the exception of putting off the fringe (I don't even try anymore).

There are some shots that you just don't do.

Read THIS, and watch your play around the green improve drastically.

    Happy hitting.

I think it's pretty good. It has it's foibles but you soon get used to them.

my biggest gripe is you can play with stock clubs/balls and make a good chip/shot etc..... and on the first bounce the ball mysteriously stops in the rough etc......I totally agree that better (paid for) clubs should perform better; however, good shots should be "good shots" regardless of club choice...I really like the game a lot but a running shot that just gets sucked into the surface on it's first bounce like it's in a black hole isn't right....otherwise I really like it...... thanks for replies everyone..

Never use the default chip shot.  Use pitch instead.

Unless your on the fringe anyway...as far as your ball getting sucked into the rough..well that's possible since there trying to emulate 6 " rough prevalent on USGA championship set ups. However the friction model for the greens really needs some help. It should react half way between the FW and the green..ain't no where near close.

I should have chose my words better.....I get very frustrated when a chip from the rough, stops the second it hits the lightest cut of fringe when clearly the ball has the momentum to keep moving....I certainly understand it getting stuck again in the rough if I'm not hitting it far enough.

I agree with you 100%. it is unrealistic and frustrating. So, with this in mind, I never chip unless I'm really close to the fringe.
