The meter is supposed to represent, it seems to me, how difficult it is in actual golf to achieve a sweet reliable swing.  So wouldn't it be more realistic if, okay here's my estimation,

    150 Hacks 100% meter speed

    125 Hacks 97.5%

    100 Hacks  95%

and so on, until a 65 legend has ??? 65% speed.  Because in the real game a legend or master or pro has played enough to have by default a better, reliable swing or stroke.

Still have the modifies on the equipment that way it is like a built in handicap if you choose to purchase your handicap.

Perhaps reduce value of equipment modifiers as the tier, level and average improves.
