My stroke average went from 77.8 to 78.9 - I shoot a 6 over at Merion front 9 and got promoted to Pro??.. now all my Bracket tourneys are scrapped as I am not eligible. Seriously? How does this ranking thing work??
That was obviously your 10th ranked round as an amateur, and since your average was still under 80...
If you were already entered in the Tourney before being promoted, you will be allowed to complete the Tourney just like you entered it.
