That was with Waterfox, adblock plus gets rid of it but adblock plus also blocks some credit opportunities. I haven't figured out if it's possible to block this ad only.

We shouldn't have to worry about blocking it, it surely is not earning wgt any money so why is it being allowed.

I scanned with Malwarebytes, & it finds nothing. It doesn't really redirect it opens another page so looks like a normal popup.

This threads been at the top of the page for a couple of days now-- so obviously the mouthpieces that WGT hires have read it. My wife ignores logic also when she's wrong. Why in the world hasn't anyone even addressed the questions posed by your users?  What a F-----ing bunch of clowns.

That little stint where Admin and Shoe- and even Icon started chumming and talking to us serfs must be over. Tell King Chad to get a grip and fix this place, before it's too late.

Was just reading this thread when an alert warning from AVG (my security provider) arrived.

WARNING .......Exploit  Fake Flash (type 1734)

There was other details re object name etc......which maybe I should relay here. was wondering if WGT have deal with the issues raised by other in this thread, and weather this info from AVG may help..

    WillyBigg:

Here it is, please get rid of this headache. It's a huge risk for your customers that wgt needs to eliminate immediately.

Getting the same thing, it stopped for a while last night but now it pops up after every hole. This only pops up when playing wgt. I play many other on line games and never have this popup.

Just started happening to me during my last match. The popup ad pops up right as the scorecard comes up between holes. The following cookies are associated with it: popnexsus.com, network.adsmarket.com, www.systweak.com and www.tuneuppro.com. Once I deny all of those, a new webpage opens up which is essentially identical to what Kaloke posted earlier, except mine was "Windows XP PC Repair", as my OS is XP.

I just thought of something....   with the new Flash Updates,  I noticed the other day, it asked me if I wanted to download Mcafee.   I had to uncheck box so it wouldn't load before the update

    -Roger

Hey Roger, I have notice for years that when you update flash, it will always have that Mcaffe box that needs to be unchecked. Pretty sure that Adobe flash is free, but comes with the advertisers ads to be offered. Clicked the wrong button once. Lesson learned.

I also get this, but not during a game,it only appears when I close wgt down. However the only time it appears is after I have been on the wgt web site. I use the maxthon browser with windows 8.

I'm curious. I wonder how many of the affected folk get credits with views and have been frequenting the five view Next Page opportunities. I noted a while back that one of the ones that requires 7 pages directed to a page that had a McAfee warning.

I think that may be where I picked it up. My research says that this is adware/malware that we've picked up somewhere, and that page seems a very likely culprit.

And if that's it, LiveGamer needs to know.

I bought a fixer program. It seems to have worked, as I haven't seen the popup since. It didn't find and clean it with a quick scan, so I ran a full one.

    ---

What it found was a registry entry under my user profile, which explains why a Sys Restore didn't work.
