    OK I'm new, what do I have to do to get backspin on my ball... help ?

    As it is Salem, actual back-spin does not show up until better wedges & balls are in the bag. The starter clubs & balls will realize none. When you gain the better stuff, the ball pictured as you play has a red dot that is manipulated down for BS or up for TS. With the free ball, any manipulation is truly "BS"...ha

    With the wedges and short irons I play I can make the starter ball back up if i ding the hit.

    But, with those same clubs I can really back up the L81+ Nike's I usually play.
