I understand why pros quit to protect there handicap but come on do you thing thats the way golf is played I don't think so if you where in a real tournment you would be penalized so why do it here.Ok I know its just for fun but come on everyone has a bad game some time.So come on all you pros+ play the game like men ( and  Woman) not like a wimp because your score is bad.where the fun in cheating because thats what it is and dont say its not because it is.Fhinsh your round like men (woman)

Think its time WGT sorted this out once and for all.

I agree...even at the amature status if one quits...they should lose... because they did not finish the game. When one quits in mach play they lose... so, why should it be any different in stroke play? Come on WGT we challenge you to make it a bit more real or do you need the extra boost for your own handicaps? Didn't your mommy ever tell you "cheaters never win and winners never cheat!!!" Keep winning cheaters you probably quit in real life too. After all you didn't finish creating this game!!!

There really needs to be some type of penalty involved for quitting (incomplete) games.  Just something not too harsh like three incomplete games (in a 24 hour period) and you're locked out for a day.  Then increase the penalty as (if) the offense continues. What's the point of having an average that isn't really the players average?  There is no point in that, and WGT is (in my opinion) not a pointless game.

I agree, especially  in a match play  situation. players PLEASE when you want to quit in a matchplay, at least have the decency to forfeit the match, so we don't have to wait for the five minutes clock, when you disconnect.

I think the ones that don't have a legitimate reason for disconnecting IE isp failure or something similar are hoping you will disconnect too. In some instances that gives the match to the first player who disconnected. It makes no sense but it has happened.

I was playing a match play round and was up 2 with 3 holes to go. My opponent disconnected on the 16th green with a putt to lose the hole and the match. I waited almost the full 5 minutes and he returned and seemed a little ticked off that i had not disconnected also.He made his putt to lose the match. He didn't seem to happy.

    WGT DONT CARE

IF THEY TRIED TO DO SOMETHING THEY WILL LOSE 3/4 OF THEIR PLAYERS

just learn to live with it

I may be dead wrong but I don't think it's a major concern to WGT because there is really no way to determine when a player quits or is legitimately bumped off by his ISP or just a game error.  If you can't pinpoint exactly why a player left then how can you dish out "punishment"?  You think the bitching about players quitting is bad, imagine the uproaor when people start losing credits or getted locked out after leaving games not under their own accord.

Yeah, seems like an easy way to cheat; reconnect after 4.5 minutes and hope to win by default.

As I am a terrible player in real life also, I finish my WGT games no matter how badly I am losing.

I have had to quit a number of times myself (wife nagging, kids gagging, etc.) but always use 'suggest drop' or 'concede' if the other player likes.

No, I am not saying I am nobler than thee, what I mean is that it's just a game; why bother cheating? It's not as if you'll get invited to the real Masters if you have a tour master rank here.

However, can we have a stats option when a player joins a game; when you show his rank, show played/quitted games alongside that?

You're right - quitting sucks but it is not limited to pro+ except it makes no sense when high avgs quit. Ive seen an amateur with an avg of 85 quit on the eighth hole after hitting a bogey. This is absolutely crazy as a round of 1+ would lower his avg. I think some people are to ashamed to stay around after playing a bad shot.

(If you want a decent game - challenge at will)

Agree with you! played with 2 guys they both let themselfs timed out because of bad play and on the final score they were the winners......I finished the round even yet I was the loser!

I had posted on this issue earlier but WGT does not seem to care, I think its time for me to quit and keep my money!.....
