    dedBuNNy:
I now play this game on my old T-61 Lenovo laptop,

Which Operating System?  The game seems to run much better on Windows XP.

Thanks for all your input. It's somehow gratifying to know that many of us are having the same issues. Gratifying but not pleasing!

Reading between the lines makes me wonder if I really need PC (read Windows) comp specifically for WGT use. Ridiculous!

I would love to hear from more Mac users.

I just got the USB mouse for my mac, and its a significant improvement on the trackpad, the delay is much less. That meant a few times i clicked too early, as I had started to learn to click a bit earlier than I needed to allow for the mouse pad lag.

It is a cheap mouse, less than 10 dollars, it does fine

But What i do not get now is the click and the line goes half way past ding before it is recognised as is usual for the mousepad.

But again - clearing chrome history and cache, flash cache, restarting laptop etc, only got me a nice smooth meter for one shot, after that it was a little jumpy and speeded up.

It is still barely playable if you remain patient, hold the club at upswing in order to let your CPU calm down from the effort of raising the club, and if you see jitters on the way down, let the meter just run and do another stroke.

I've use the Magic Mouse for a long time. Any mouse works better than the trackpad. That, however, is not the issue. The problem is the stuttery and/or jerky cursor. While at different times I've had good results with all of my browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, but not Opera), none of them offer reliable results now. Safari is horrible, Firefox can be good but is inconsistent, and Chrome tends to have inconsistent meter and one that speeds up at the point of contact. It is almost impossible to avoid being late (or early in compensation!).

It seems like an unresolvable issue for the moment.

    Pity....

im an macuser aswell, first mouse i played was the magic mouse ,ouse and ff after this i found the STAINLESS  browser which is working on chrom engine, best tip is to buy a decent gamers mouse like mad catz rat 5 wired or some razer which software wasnt good running on my i mac 27 .

Also a good tip is to set the flash player settings to medium and delete reflections.

For cleaning your mac i can recommend you ONYX  its a cleaner program

not claiming this to work for others; just haven't seen it mentioned in this thread.

a wise player here helped me get my meter  working much better; the browser he suggested & I still use is *comodo* version of chrome.  I use this browser only for wgt game play and regular chrome for normal browsing.

    good luck

After trying just about every browser out there,  I have finally landed on Comodo Dragon.  It is not perfect, but it is far and away the best of the bunch.  Very few meter issues, whcih can be fixed without leaving the game, and the disconnects on my part are Waaaay down.  I highly reccomned giving it a try!

As far as I know, Comodo does not work with Mac/IOS.

I have been using firefox last couple of days and it is performing no worse really than Chrome on my macbook

Changing  your processor priority might help.

I posted about this in another thread. Please check it out  here is the thread link: http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/259381/1875898.aspx#1875898

I found this instruction set on the web of MAC's: http://www.ehow.com/how_8430786_change-process-priority-mac.html

    I hope this helps,

Any older PC`s check out the Pale Moon Browser. I use it with my backup pc, which is XP and its much better than Chrome or Firefox, it`s made for older Pc`s
