Why is my CC.....''THE UK GOLFERS ELITE'' not on CC lists

  Oh Boy

  What is it with lots of these forum posts that they end up in un-constructive criticism and arguments. 

  Why Can't a club name themselves Elite ? The original post was a fair comment which required an answer. It seemed they got the answer by the next 4 posts, So why the bandwagon after. 

  Paul ton    'Any CC with the word elite in it's name is being pretentious and egotistical'.

  So is Grande ok ? 

  Surely a CC is judged by its members and not its name

  LOL, can i pinch this slightly angry thread and turn it slightly lighthearted. We have handicap tournies at our club so believe me our name is quite fitting ;-). Anyone else got anything to add reg their name.

  I stand by my comments on 'elite' CC's.

  cool caddyshack the film represented the pretentious and so called elite of american society with the caddies taking the Proverbial P*** so way  to go Grande defeat your own arguement now stand by it and oh yes grange oaks was depicted as an "elite" country club
