Pitch to invisible stick!

  Please check replay in my list of replays labeled "Hit invisible stick".  I pitched the ball the pulled the flagstick it was headed for the hole when the ball hit an invisible flagstick and out - 

  What a bug - If I pull the flagstick before the ball gets to the hole shouldn't the flagstick stay out.

  Sounds like a simple coding problem.

  Hello TheMonkyJack.

  Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've provided the replay to the QA team to take a look at. Hopefully it was a one time strange occurrence but if not they should be able to resolve it.

  It's always been this way. If you want the flag stick removed then you must do it before you take the shot.

  I've never tried taking the pin out after I've hit a putt in real life. I don't think I'd be quick enough.

  Got to pull before the shot is even hit.  Think of it this way... hitting a shot from 125 yards and trying to sprint to the green and pull the stick before the ball gets there.  Doesn't work.  When in doubt just pull before.

  Conversely, if you pull the pin before the shot, then replace it mid-flight, it shouldn't affect the result (ball hitting the pin) - right?

  I haven't tried this yet, but fell victim to the mid-flight pull a couple of times.

  You might send your (WGT) caddie, like Phil did once.

   

  FWIW: In real golf, playing solo, I never pull the flag - saves a lot of time. In compensation, I added a personal rules variant: A putt hitting the flag is deemed holed out which would be true w/o the flag in most cases.
