Erroneous Playing Stats

  Just a head's up regarding personal stats; Seems there is a fault.

  e.g. I reckon I've sat on 13ft to the pin for at least a year now.

  I only noticed it after some ribbing from someone that lives by them. Stats have never really interested me as I can never quite get my head around how they affect your next round.

  Anyhoos, I contacted WGT and received a prompt reply informing me that they were aware of the problem and have been trying to rectify it. No timescale was mentioned.

  I've since asked if they could just re-set my own stats starting from where they are now and that I'm not bothered about the 'lost data'.  I await a response.

  I often read of other players quoting stats when replying to folk on here - citing them as the issue. It's obviously not always the case.

  Meantime I'll carry on with my WGT approved sandbagging.

  I would find that frustrating not that there is much point to the stats mostly anyway.

  If they ever did create that new tier, and it kicks in enough below elite I would like everything reset to zero.  After that I would want it rolling based on only play from proper courses , and ideally by course or at least so many courses needed.  Have the short tee stuff as well but separate.  All discussed way more fully elsewhere I appreciate and off the point you were really making, but highlighted it anyway because I can even if it's unlikely ever to happen.......

  Hope they sort out your issue.

  Given that WGT are aware of the problem the hope was that someone in the same situation would have replied - perhaps even stating that their own stats had been sorted. At this point I'm not even sure what particular data is not being recorded  - all, just approach, putting, etc, etc?

  Funnily enough the stat I mentioned is something I just happen to remember from back in my days alongside you over @ Bridgestone.

  Wondering if the Cyg man, or someone else, maybe has an old copy of a spreadsheet saved that I would still show on from my time there.

  Also, can you remember when you yourself joined BGCC?  - as I think that'll be when I left.......... ROFL!

  I have been stuck at 17 ft since before dinosaur crap was last seen here...we've played many times..other than the usual 60ft from the pin I'm at, when have you ever seen me at 17 ft?  OMGROFL

  I'm hoping it stays broken, as my stats are crap.  They are that way because the majority of time I played ranked rounds that counted for stats (stroke play), I was a hack, amateur, pro, tour pro, and very young master.  Then I switched to match play for most of master, and all of TM and L (where they don't figure in).  It makes me look worse than I really am, and inspires all sorts of idiots to make claims about me - with wishes on my end that they try me head-to-head so I can swat them like flies.

  It's more fun to be underestimated.
