    Shoe:

I have a few questions that if answered could, I believe, make the concept of a clash clearer.

    1)  Who sets up the clash – WGT or CC Owners that want to compete against another CC?

    2)  It is hard to find a 6 hour timeframe where members of a CC are from different countries - how is the start / end time of a specific clash determined?

    3) Will multiple clashes be occurring at the same time?

    4) Sounds like this might be an added workload on CC Owners – will specified officers be able to assign the super-pass to members? (Speaking about that any ETA for officers being more than name only?)

    5) For a 4 Clash - 24 hour event can a member of a CC play in more than one Clash or are they limited to playing in only 1 of the 4?

    6) CCs will be matched up based on CCXL so more than likely then a level 9 CC will be matched against another Level 8 or 9 CC – right?

    7) Will all 44,000+ CCs have the ability to be in a clash or just those that have attained a specified CCXL?

    8) A beta test without prizes from WGT would be a good idea - any consideration of doing so by WGT?

    9) What about a CC whose owner is AWOL (like TYCGC) or on vacation when the clash is going on - how will their super passes be assigned?

    10) It may take time to organize a CC for the clash and for the owner to assign the super-passes to members - how far in advance will clashes be announced?

    Here are a few replies:

WGT will setup the event time.  During that time anyone from a CC can enter their CC into a clash.  Once a CC is entered into a clash it takes 5-30 minutes for the system to match your CC up against an opposing CC.  Once you are match up, everyone in the CC who is in game will get a message, letting them know a clash has begun.

    3) Will multiple clashes be occurring at the same time?

A specific CC can only be in one clash at a time, but during an event you will have time to play multiple clashes

    4) Sounds like this might be an added workload on CC Owners – will specified officers be able to assign the super-pass to members? (Speaking about that any ETA for officers being more than name only?)

CC owners will be able to specify who in the CC can uses superpasses depending on the player's CC title.  If they have the title they can use as many superpasses as the CC has.  We thought it would be too much work for the CC owner to have to individually give them out.

    5) For a 4 Clash - 24 hour event can a member of a CC play in more than one Clash or are they limited to playing in only 1 of the 4?

In a given event members can play in as many clashes and as many times within a clash as they have passes

    6) CCs will be matched up based on CCXP so more than likely then a level 9 CC will be matched against another Level 8 or 9 CC – right?

    Something pretty close to that

    7) Will all 44,000+ CCs have the ability to be in a clash or just those that have attained a specified CCXL?

All CC's can participate in an event

    8) A beta test without prizes from WGT would be a good idea - any consideration of doing so by WGT?

Maybe, but won't you want the prizes dished out anyways?

    9) What about a CC whose owner is AWOL (like TYCGC) or on vacation when the clash is going on - how will their super passes be assigned?

Based on the title of the cc member

    10) It may take time to organize a CC for the clash and for the owner to assign the super-passes to members - how far in advance will clashes be announced?

Events will be announce a decent amount of time ahead, but clashes will be pretty fluid depending on your CC.

Thanks for the answers. It does make the concept of a clash more clear t me - I will pass the answers on to few in my CC who wil want to see them.

For now I will jut respond to one as the Oregon Ducks kickoff is just a few minutes away :)

No. I would rather have a group of players test it and see what happens.

My first computer game design back in 1978 was on a 64K floppy disk on a Franklin Ace 1000 - it simulated an NBA game. I could play from opening tip off to the final shot without problems - it was not until I sat down and what others did when trying to play that I discovered where my flaws were...

I am sure that without any prize(s) I can get 50 or more trying to find them.

    ANYONE???

Really don't like that idea at all. I would prefer it if Inter-CC stuff was agreed upon within the CC, then enacted by the Owner or CC Officers.

Agree.  Should be Owners and Officers. ANYONE in the entire club sounds like things have the potential to run a muck.

I'm all for cc vs cc clashes, but kind of feel that this hasn't been properly thought through by WGT.  I'm thinking this is just a knee jerk reaction to the CC Grand Prix tournament, being organised in the community organized tournaments section by Pierolitfiba and AlbertoBQ.

33 CCs start a competition next week, in  a 10 a side, strokeplay/CCTH points competition.

totally agree with you Steve,i entered our CC in this comp with no hesitation, rules clear and easy to understand, look at the response they got .

WGT,if you really want to do massive inter CC clashes, talk to the guys running the COUNTRY CLUB GRAND PRIX they seem to have most of the bases covered.

    Woodoworkery:

OK , so the Owner of the club chooses which players participate. I was thinking all members that wanted to play could play.

If that is correct ,whats the number of players that will be allowed to play from each club?

All members could play but only certain members will have the Superpass and this will be decided by the owner.  Owners choosing players would be beneficial since you have to use a pass to play.  So if everyone played in the first 6 hour clash,  then no one would be able to play in the next one unless you purchase more passes.

I think the CC Clashes are a great Idea in this type of concept, but.......

......IMO, the thing that kills it is the Pass/Superpass to enter/play.

Ok, we can use our passes to play, but the the thing I don't like is we have to purchase more passes to keep playing. It might be ok for me, but not very good for my cc members as most of em are not too financial.  Lots of buts there....lol.

This means that clubs like mine will have to Pass on these type of comps...lol

Are we all trying to overthink this type of new competition.  It's basically like a R/Go with teams. If the Players are financial, then they (as in CC's) can move onto bigger and greater things.  The Rich get Richer type of thinking.

Or am I overthinking it myself?

I still think the CC Clashes are a great idea....  just the Pass's have got me a bit worried

    Meant constructively OK and IMO:

It is easy to what is happening in WGT Central.  Some one is banging the table with crazy sales targets shouting growth, and especially with "consumaBALLS"

I think though this is rapidly looking like a case of less haste more speed might be better. Some have come up with good ideas about bouncing this off the community first - test run with a few.

I would also say if it quickly becomes apparent this is some dreamland ball burning /. pass frying exercise I can't see it working.

If people go on vacation and enjoy there whole week rather getting fleeced out of everything day one that's better all round??  I realise it's an online thing, and just there as a concept to work with.

Inter CC brackets single play brackets might be a good addition.  I also fully accept I may not have the whole picture.
