Still confused about scoring. The won/lost is obvious. What else benefits the club? total points?

IBTD: Flags etc., even the Golden Calf have no commercial value - not a measurable benefit to me. Most of them are just too ugly (think of the cornucopiae or the snowmen).

The passes gifted "eat" the free passes, you must be very fast after the Event (and spend more balls) to get another non-commercial value: CC XPs.

The players' input is much too high for those "prizes" - the only winner is the company!

Measurable in credits are the balls given to the three second-to-top finishers - a few credits to single players, and the Course Builders, 400 cr each, for the first 500 CCs. It's not much but, after all...

Nothing benefits the club at all the flags and tee markers are just fluff and nonsense, clubs that dont have them manage just as well.

The free club passes well you get free ones anyway so you have a couple extra big deal.

Now the main people who benefit are WGT but why the hell should they not, they are a business not a charitable organisation.

They provide the facility its up to you if you want to use it.

    Simple really

I like any concept where clubs can compete more evenly. I also like head to head compition.  So, I'm not a big fan of this proposal as yet.

I would prefer to see compition in a direct manner,  such as head to head. Why not make a WAR ROOM where club members can duke it out with another clubs member straight up? Total points, win/loss, whatever determins the winner. Similar to the coin game type play, give lower tier players a chance with a short tee box to compete in successfully.

Yeah, the system has its lmitations.  So , let each platform compete towards the goal in their own way. Makes for a better mix between platforms in clubs.

    Whatever Works.

You missed the drift, like always!  Your answer is computer orientated.  No I can't do those things you say in a set up fashion between my club members or others in WGT to compete in a WGT events. Take the Turf Wars,  it should be directed between the clubs, but it is Not! And you want a fair competition in a Club Clash but all must play the same length Course?

Anyway, the reality of becoming real will not happen soon. We will not be playing true match play between clubs , or any other compition that might incorporate a WGT event that simulates reality in the foreseeable future.

    So be it. OK

Why do people use 20 words when one will do.

This is a simple business transaction WGT put the product there you buy it or not. End of.

All this measurable prizes that you can have forever is rubbish, we in our club have loads of different tee markers, I could not tell you from which clash they came. The prize is something for nothing.

Play the clash enjoy the clash and stop worrying about prizes or winners or anything, last time I looked nobody had a gun to anyone's head making them play.

Choice is what its all about we can choose to play or not. Just as we can chose to fly with one airline or another, the product is out there use it as you will, please dont try and make it something it is not
