That's true. The BB is super-nice for fairways and approaches, but it sprays it's tee shots all over the place. It's always a crap shoot for me when using it on par 3s.
I know what you mean, gave it a try on 2 free rent weekends a while back,
scared the living crap out of me, completely unreliable unless dinged,
and even then, it's anyone's guess if VEM will be applied.
good thing about the R11S 3W though is that it's often longer than specs show,
on avg of 8-10 yards, depending on wind and hole locations, but the BB spin
is the real gem. that extra half a dot really does make a difference.
