This Clash thing looks like a lot of fun.  It probably will get very competitive, so therefore it should also be single play.

I really thought that the country club match up would be fair. When it finally picked a country club to clash with I was all excited. Now I just looked up the country club & felt sad. How can a small C.C. of 3 members go up against  a C.C. of 178 active members? Really? Better to look up the country club First before entering the event.

Hate to be negative again because WGT is a great game.

But the enjoyment comes from competing with guys on a level playing field, i think the wisdom of introducing significantly better clubs to a select few ( however they might win/ be given them ) is a game killer in the long run.

One thing that needs to be pointed out. It does not matter what club member signs up to start a clash. In fact it is beneficial for the first member that is there at the start of the event to sign up. The reason is that these are time specific events. If you wait an hour or two for the owner or a designated officer to sign up you have just shortened the time that you will have to play the event. The first one is 26 hours from 12:00 PM  PDT. When Friday at 2:00PM PDT rolls around all will end. And once signed up, you don't have to play if you decide against it and the opposing cc will win in a walk-over, to their benefit and WGT's loss. There is real time scoring so you can also judge if your club has a big lead with no need to play additional rounds or it is a tight race and you need to contact members to play a few rounds. The concept is interesting but it would appear to be a way for the WGT to get credits from gungho club members who want bragging rights as most of the prizes have little value. (a special tee box, special hole flags; wonders will never cease). This is still a game where individuals make choices and if enough play it will continue and if many opt out it may die a slow death on the vine.

Let me see if i have this right. 1 Event, 4 clashes (matches) in that 1 Event. Each clash lasts 6 hours.

So, 8ish hours sleep, 1 hour getting ready for bed and waking up. 10 hours work + or school. I would pretty much miss out on 3 of the 4 clashes.

It's not the person who thought this up that was wrong, it's everyone else at WGT that said BRILLIANT IDEA. smh.

    What specifically is not working?

Looking at the Event Leaderboard makes me think that the individual "Clashes" with a single CC mean nothing. Is our goal to be at the top of the Leaderboard?

If so. No skill required. Just deep pockets and loads of time.
