    WGTicon:

Club Superpasses – benefit to players in Country Clubs that achieve higher levels, which doubles the XP and doubles Club Clash points

    http://www.wgt.com/help.aspx#clash

I read the higher a level the club is the more passes it gets, right??  Now you try to match clubs with similar activity right? So a smaller club club goes against a bigger also similarly active club - with me.  Said bigger club gets more multipliers as well as a ton of extra players, and it's the one with the most points that "wins" right?

I am totally missing where any of this has anything to do with skill.

Seems fire away and the one who uses the most passes  / burns the most balls is all that matters, not even trying to bring an ounce of skill in to it??

Are you sure this has been thought through??

Looking at the Event Leaderboard makes me think that the individual "Clashes" with a single CC mean nothing. Is our goal to be at the top of the Leaderboard?

If so. No skill required. Just deep pockets and loads of time.

Please clarify if it's one golden putter only to be won per event.  So only the one club gets this as top of the "WHOLE EVENT LEADERBOARD".

With respect the Forum Grand Prix is making this look very Mickey Mouse if I am right, and the forum Grand Prix is only where the skill is, but accept I may be wrong. Brilliantly put together even that forum Grand Prix by the way.

If I am right I can see this "clash" lasting one weekend. Not trying to be rude but it's peoples time and money on the whole so nice to know.

That's obvious from the "event rewards" tab in the game client. It clearly shows what is to be won for each place on the "event total leaderboard".

So, not that much to do with skill, like people before me already said.

Yes it is now I look at that.  Very obvious, LOL.

EDIT: Away from what you said just want to be that I am not saying those clubs at the top do not have skill in their ranks, but that's not the issue being discussed here IMO.  Also to reiterate I am not trying to be obtuse to WGT, but IMO this needs tweaking if it is going to succeed.  I may well have not grasped exactly how the modified scoring works as well...

Last 2-3 years were one long sad decline.
initial core values and vision of sportsmanship and skill
got tossed aside for the sake of cold greed and bottom lines.
this company stopped caring about the game a long ass time ago,
now it's all about haves and have nots.

this latest farce is anything but a match, a competition, a game of skill,
it is a hamster wheel made out of money, YOUR money.

Has any consideration been given to time zones.  My club is on EST, our clash ends at 9pm EST.  Not many of our members are on after 10 or eleven. Our second clash would start at 9pm and run till 3am.  Then third would run till 6am with the 4th running till 12 noonEST.  between sleep and work we would not have very good participation.  24 hours will not work, not even weekends...????

As we have seen before - nice idea but poor implementation.  Why not just award the largest country club a free putter.  With this CC vs CC "clash" I was expecting to see CC members try to fire off their best rounds on a certain course and best round (or cumulation of say top 10 rounds) wins.  This just appears to be another money grab.

So the first Clash is over. Signed us up for the 2nd. But no Super Passes? Only available for one round? This just keeps getting more silly as it goes along.

So how exactly does a club winning 800-704 lose their clash? How do you get a win bonus with less points? Grande Oaks was winning 800 - 704 at the end of the event.

Southern England Links 1304 counting the 600 pt win bonus  ----------------  Grande Oaks Golf Club 800
