I had to buy a pass for the 37 credits and then played  my round. Then score card is showing 0 points for this clash contest.

    Accept my commiserations!

Apparently that round was over before you finished. Rules say, no clash points, but XPs for you and your CC.

Is anyone else getting the unexpected error when you try to check the CC clash

Looking at the event's leaderboard is devastating. All CCs are in one big competition!

Close to the end of clash round 2, the leaders have almost 8,000 points already - we are about 900th.

Looking at the rewards, there's 1 (in letters: one) "golden" putter, that's about all that counts. If your CC is able to shoot 15,000 - 20,000 points, it may be yours.

Who needs speed boosts? Not me.

Pos. 1 - 250 receive some CC passes of questionable value.  You'd have to use them all on day one within 12 hours to avoid that they replace your customary free passes. Due to the greed-distorted 12 hours rule, WGT recollects their generous gifts afterwards.

I have to agree, it's a big waste of credits to play. I will use my one free pass to play, but that's it. This could have been a good idea, but I see little motivation to play in the form we have now. Wgt is always thinking of how to rake in the credits instead of how to make the game more fun. It's a shame.

    Curiouser and curiouser...

I've just looked at our current position, and found that I have 55 points from our current clash, which is most interesting, as I HAVE NOT PLAYED IN IT

I did use a pass for my one game this morning (a Bracket match), so has my score from  this somehow  been applied to the Clash?

    Confused :-(

Now that the event is well into its 26 hour duration and a leaderboard is available, it is easy to see that the winner will be a large club. Small clubs may be pitted against clubs with the same basic activity for the smaller "clashes" but the overall winner will be from a big club because they can score hugh point totals. My club has won 2 "clashes" and leads in the third, but is 46th on the overall leaderboard and are about 6000 points behind. To be fair some sort of weighted scoring or handicapping system must be introduced or the "golden" putter will only go to big clubs.

    I think so.

We are "in" and have a big button named "Club Clash 1" on our "CC homepage" in the game client.

In the top 20, there are three clubs of level 7, four level 9 (from 5), the rest level 8.

The leaders have aggregated 8,300 points, 20th has 3,200 points.

We are already telling our members to quit playing in this.

Gonna do the same right now.  Sad situation actually.  We at GOGC love the CvC idea and have put together many of them in our year and half (or so) on wgt... However, this Club Clash has nothing to do with skill and we won't be supporting it in it's current format.

Good luck to the clubs with rich retired folks.
