    jsweetcr:

Basically, WGT, you have taken something that could have been a really great idea, as well as profitable, and you have tainted it with your ever so present greed.  This is the biggest smash and grab of credits/money since the R1 promotion, oh about this time, last year.

Yes people, I do understand this is a business and it needs to be profitable, but this is different than being just profitable.

WGT dangles this incredibly luscious and juicy carrot in front of our eyes(Gold Max Putter) and we start wasting thousands and thousands of ball hits and buying passes like they are going out of style. In return we really get nothing of any value. The winning club gets 1 of these putters to give to one of its 250 members(cuz those are the only clubs that will come in first). The rest of the prizes are passes and some XP. Passes are useless, as you can't save them and accrue free ones. So not like you could hold onto them and use them in the next event and still have your 1 or 2 free passes to be using daily for your club. Nope gotta use those first before you get free ones. Not to mention, who knows when the next one will be.

Why not just have clubs go head to head and give away regular equipment and more of it. Give more people an incentive to compete. Oh and answer me this: What happens when the recipient one of these fancy putters, or the 300 yard all singing all dancing Driver that I am sure is on the way, wins something like a RG or a big tournament or even worse the VUSO. Everyone will be screaming unfair advantage I am sure. Might as well have given away the auto dinger.

Lastly, this was supposed to be fair match-ups.  2 of our match-ups had us pitted against clubs with 250 members. We have 78, that is 3 times as many members. We managed to beat one, but it was the first Club and we were using passes and super passes to see what it was all about. A third match-up was against a club with 3 members, we have 78. That's retarded. Not to mention these go on for 24 hours, so what happens when all your members are sleeping and you get pitted against one of these big clubs and no one is around to play.

Our club got to see what this was all about and WGT showed their true colors. Can't really see our club participating heavily in these. They are geared to the big clubs or clubs that are credit heavy and actually want to waste those credits on 37 credit passes and 100's of ball hits in the lottery like chance that the club will get the Golden EGG. Rotten if you ask me!!

Can't wait to see when the super passes go on sale at 100 credits a pop! LMAO!!

Well that ought to just about end it for me.  Well done, Mr. Sweet!

    D.

zag: There's a CTTH points scheme given in the FAQs =>

where the Putting CTTH might grant very high scores.

    DA: The FAQs =>
give 100 points to the highest scoring player. Thus Tees win 361 vs. 301 and get 500 win bonus => 861 in total.

alosso thanks for trying to help but the math is off by 1.  they won 880 not 881 and one of our members shot the low score of 30....so we would have gotten the extra100...

WOULD STILL LIKE SOMEONE FROM ADMIN TO LOOK AT THE BUSHWACKIN BANDITS MATCH WITH SMOKIN TEES....THANK U...

Yep..  I shot a 30 for the Bandits.. dude you gave the 100 point bonus to shot a 31 for his lowest score. How's that work WGT?

    WGT.

    Please answer.

I understood that there would be 4 clashes. We only got 3. All day today there was nothing to play, yet other clubs kept earning points.

Wouldn't you know. We were at #35. At the very end we dropped to #51.

Same thing here.. We were at #8.. Could no longer play. Not sure where we ended up.

The same thing happened to us.  The 3rd clash came when most of our members were sleeping so we didn't get very many points there.  The 4th clash, we were all locked out....and have no idea where ou CC finished.

WGT you really really do need to read this thread carefully.  Telling you straight that if this was a high street shop you would be being discussed on local radio for this one.  Not being rude, but you seriously need to adjust this huge if you roll it again - IMO.  Wish you well but this was a massive fail - being kind.

Yeah a real severe beating they took in this thread.

After this major cluster, I think WGT should do the right thing for once. They need to go back to every player who played in this debacle and credit them for every CC Pass they purchased. Not to mention all the wasted ball hits...  Anything less is just robbery.

    Duck

PS: They also need to post an apology to the entire WGT community.

A simple soloution if i may WGT....

Set up a 4 rounder which runs all week (are you able to have all 4 rounds running at the same time instead of waiting for each to finish ?)

Have a minimum completion %  criteria , say 50% of cc members must complete each round ?

Make each round a single play round

Take an average of the total scores from each cc after each round.

    lowest average wins the battle.

FORGET THE PASSES IDEA YOU MAKE ENOUGH MONEY FROM BALL USE !!!!!!!!!

Top 50 country clubs with lowest overall average from each clash earn credits for the CC bank.

Failing that, call Carlo for some tips !!

as a contest this was a great idea worked well then it hit all of us like a tonne of bricks

    money for wgt

im from a small cc  after round three of the clash i worked out that the 23 members of our club would each have to play 16 games each ...if we par every hole to stay in contention with the big clubs wgt would make 13,616 credits from our club in 24 hours

im definitly in the wrong business

I am starting to wonder why I even buy CC passes at all!

Come to an end of wondering:

    THERE'S NO JUSTIFICATION!

(none at all when your CC is in level 6)

Yes, and I am realizing the same about this stupid new CC vs CC Clash thing.  Me and a bunch of other members spend a lot of money to use dozens and dozens of CC passes to play the same course over and over and over again......and then one of our members will get the big prize for our finish:  2 or 3 CC passes???

I am quite sure our country club will never participate in this Clash event again.  Instead, we'll stick to what we've organized ourselves in the past.....CC vs CC competitions where our members are matched with other members from another CC to compete in match play.  Anyone else out there that feel the same way, contact us for some real competition and fun!!!  We have about 25 members and always get at least half of them to sign up for a CC vs CC competition.
