Best Ball format

  Best ball is a round of golf where each competitor plays his ball threw the green.  It is a team game with two players per team, as in alternate shot.

  The player in each team with the best score on the hole records that score for the team.  For example, player 1 scores a 4, player 2 scores a 5.  The team score is a 4, with the 5 discarded. 

  This is often confused with the scramble format, but is distinctly different.

  Seems this would be a good CC to CC competition as well.  Players only have to pair up in the CC, not as a foursome.

  This seems to be a great new format for WGT to add to its repertoire.

  This is played in the Ryder Cup, and I understand it is popular in Europe.

  We've played Best Ball keeping score in chat  then taking a screenshot of the card after the round for verification.

  Before A/S was added the guild matches at the ladder site were played best ball. We even played a few best ball format after A/S was added. Winner was posted manually.

  This would be a nice add for WGT... It's a great format...
