That's a loaded question. It has to be stated what winds, putting surface, type of play. I generally think that Oakmont in harder than BP. But, that's just me
It depends on what tees are being and green speeds are being used. I Just played Oakmont for the first time since qualifying for the U.S. Open ended. The best I could manage during qualifying was an 81 Today I had 2 birdies 2 bogies and 14 pars for an even par 70. I have to admit that from the blue tees it is a much easier course maybe easier than BPB. The very fast green speed was so much easier to putt than the tournament speeds we had to play this summer. All in all I would rate both BPB and Oakmont about the same in difficulty. But for me with # 15 at @ BPB makes BPB just a little more difficult. # 9 @ Oakmont isn't quite as difficult as #15 @ BPB because the pin in closer to the front so you can play short and chip or pitch on and have a legitimate chance at a par. Today I hit my 3 wood into the bunker in front of the green and using the pitch shot I almost holed it out for a birdie. 6 inch putt for the par.
It was a good round for level points as well. 200 for finishing the 18 hole round .70 for hitting the ball and 10 for the bronze Oakmont dominator award 20 for the silver and 40 for the gold for a total of 70 points for the 3 Oakmont dominator awards. 340 total points.
