    Hi All,

This idea is not actually mine, nor is it anything new - it has been used in other gaming genres before.

The idea is that of a "GHOST PLAYER" - no not the creepy stuff lol.

It means that you can actually play alongside another player, who is currently playing a round. Maybe you could play along with some of the greats on the site, and see how they do it. Pit yourself against them as it were.

So - You decide to play along with one of the top players who is currently doing a ranked round.  Here are some pointers / ideas.

1 - The actual player playing the round would not know you were there. You are a Ghost to him.

2 - You would not be able to see what clubs he was using, although thats up for debate

3 - Your score wouldnt count, and you would have to play to his pace (dont forget the actual player doesnt even know you are there. The game play proceeds in the normal way for him.

It would just allow players to see how the real legends of this game do it, without the player actually revealing any secrets - although lets face it, having the best clubs really means nought - if you cant hit the the ball.

As I mentioned previously it has been done before and works really well. Whether it could be incorporated into this style of game I dont know. Would need some working up.

Anyway that the basic idea. Happy to take feedback.

    Cheers

    Doug

    Hi Doug,

Sounds great in theory mate, But hear me out here.

I think the forum is full of great tips and walkthroughs from good players here and I've learned a lot from them and still refer back to them.

But why put these individuals on some sort of pedestal and polish their egos some more? FK em' I say. Theres always someone who will come along and better  them. There's a lot of disguised bragging here. To be quite honest , I like to play multiplayer games against someone of a higher tier, the thinking being, that it will raise my game, and it does , until hole 2 , when masters/ t/m's disconnect. And in my experience , my so-called betters in multiplayer games fanny out first of a game.

Practice your own game mate, they won't like to think you are catching them up!

    Reps mean nothing!

    FAB,

    J
