Wind affecting the roll of a putt

  A crosswind just moved a perfectly straight 8 foot putt on 1 hole then it didn't move a 25 footer on the next hole..........tell me which is correct please....i can only assume it's the stupid people at WGT who nothing about the game of golf who have conjured up this crap.

  VEM or not VEM: All strokes are correct here as the machine calculated them.

  It's "take it or leave it" I'm afraid.

  Well strong winds I would say yes especially over that distance. Precision can also come in to play, but a putt in to a 30 MPH HW most certainly needs more oomph to make the distance.............

  Did you actually read what i posted....i have no issue with a longer putt being affected by the wind but an 8 footer........the 2 results were back to front for sure

  Short putt shouldn't have moved but the long putt should have...it happened the other way around

  Yes, that's correct, and that's all part of playing with the daily 'Roulette Wind Wheel Game' here now. The wind here has nothing to do with actual wind modeling - zip.
