Lets say for example when your entering a game. You will see something that looks like this.

    danohi50: tourmaster: score avg. 68.33: level 52

reliabilty rating (or RR): blitz 97% Ranked rounds 93% tournaments 97% RG's 98% MPC 97%

you could call these B,R,T,RG, or MPC for simplicity

If ya follow me, thats an easy way to find out how reliable a possible opponent is.

I.E> I dropped out of 3% of my blitz games

I dropped out of 7% of my tourny rounds

    ETC

    What do ya all think?

WOW, wish someone had thought of this before! Oh, wait, they did...its called Reputation Tracking / Status / Level...Type the word "Reputation" in the forum search over >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> here and see how many threads have been written/discussed/argued/fought over.  Oh, and next time you set play a multiplayer match (actually i think you have to be the one to create the match) there is  a selection marked "reputation" right below where you can select what level/tier players you would like to play with. This option has be deactivated in the menu though.  It is my understanding that WGT has had this sort of thing implemented in the past, but for some reason took it away.  I think it wasn't working as they intended it to from what i've heard.  I think the reputation issue is one of the most discussed ideas on this site, right up there with quitters and sandbaggers.

I didnt work goose, it was very poorly implemented.

Yes this subject has been discussed half to death.

Very few people have tried to come up with tangible solutions, therefore IM making this suggestion.

That's not a bad solution Dan, but how about something more simplistic like a thumbs up or down like they use on e-bay? It was suggested by another member, I'm only repeating it here.

Well Dicky, that would be pretty simple and easy for WGT to implement...Why haven't they done that?

Maybe one reason. Many of us when we play the unlimited tourneys like the open qualifiers and the lpga tourney stop after the first hole and restart. so our reliability rating for ranked rounds would be deceptively low. And would it differentiate between a multi-player round that was dropped because of ego or a pc or internet connection problem or time constraints. Plus many of us who have had to quit a multi-player round because of time constraints have finished the round solo the next time we logged on. There is no way imo for WGT to be able to know all this. Because it seems to me that those rounds finished later would then only show up as ranked rounds and not multi-player and the few times that I have had all people drop out of a multi-player round early I save and quit so I can finish the round without the timer making it a normal ranked round and not a multi-player. There are just too many unknowns for WGT to do what you suggest.

Well here is something to think about experience points earned and finished 9/18 hole points earned.lets say if all 4 players finish a game the get 400 points each  for finishing the game and it goes down if someone drops out to 300each and so on until your the only one left (happens so many times we all know that) But what if the players that dropped out had the 100 points taken away from there score and given to those who finish the game. That way players who finish the game get rewarded and players who don't get punished.OK might have to put a 24 hour delay of adding points but it would help players who finish move up points lever faster .

What I do takes a little more time but, for example:

    Look at their stats.

A player has been a member for two years with only 150 ranked rounds and their best 18 is a 72 yet they have a 63 or better avg and Legend status yet they have some activity almost every day.

    RED FLAG!!!

    1) Most likely an artificial avg.

    2) Probably a chronic quitter

Some players like the facade of a low average (like it impresses the rest of us). And it gives them some sort of weird personal...("I don't know")...feeling of superiority or something.

    My 2 cents.
