CC vs CC Event

  I don't know Roll...  have not seen or heard an announcement yet.  But, if it's awarded based on total points....would go to some guy named  "Extendinfra"..    appears he played / purchased 50 + rounds. I guess congrats are in order for this accomplishment, NO WAY would I have spent the time, creds, etc etc.....  I've better things to do.

   But, there is something proven with this clash. According to what I've read, researched, and observed. we can safely say the following:

  There were no backdoor games played as WGT cured the last issue.

  WGTdbloshoe..... deserves a break, performs an unforgiving job, doing the best he can.

  Considering the above mentioned player contributed 10% of the total point volume, it will take a hefty amount of players from any particular club to reach the numbers, so the smaller clubs are definitely out gunned.

  From looking at the round scores.... there is NO quality of play at all.  It's simply volume. Until the point / reward tabulation starts penalizing bad holes and only rewards birdies or better...    and members are limited to a specific number of rounds... this will continue to be nothing more than a "pay and play".

  The putter has been awarded, if the owner, bigseanbig, would like to give his reasoning why he chose the player he did we would welcome it.  I just know who he picked but not his reasoning behind it. 

  We also did not see, hear, or find any backdoor issues this time.  The points earned in the clash were only earned via playing Event games.

  I'm sure that people who have the magic putter would not mislead anyone else as to how well it works.  I mean who would they do that?  Would they be embarrassed to confess that the putter helped them out by several strokes per round?  Would they feel that others would not compete with them if people knew that the putter was much better?  Would a one percenter tell a 99 percenter the truth when that would enrage the person getting the bad news that class inequity had reared it's ugly head?

   

  Looking at stats of those who acquired that gold putter, I have noted about a 3 to 4 stroke difference in scores per round.  Not outstanding, but not insignificant either.

  Not sure all the people getting the Golden Child (sorry, play on words...lol) but the person mentioned in a reply to my question is a pretty darn good player....lol.

  I was just saying that I've heard from a few different people other than the ones here have said the putter is not a game changer.  No big deal :)

  I don't think the owner needs to tell anybody who got the Golden Child. I also liked your last paragraph too

  If anybody is wondering....  no,  not defending Wgt with anything (within reason).  Maybe Wgt can listen to a few ideas in previous posts to make this even better.

  There was a Private post sent to me this morning, It was the best Idea I have heard since they invented Bourbon...lol.   It can change every comp we play for better for all.

  Not saying cause it's not my idea

  ..and in case you're wondering,
  this is how a bought and paid for "win" looks like:
  notice the avg score! absolutely nothing to do with sportsmanship or skill,
  and everything to do with corporate greed of the worst kind
  that corrupted this great game beyond recognition :-((
  and the funniest thing is, this guy probably doesn't even need this putter,
  since 80 % of his activity is CTTH rounds, but who cares, no one really.
  he bought his way to it with cc passes, then so be it.
  * just to be clear, this is about wgt and not one player or another.
