    DodgyPutter:

I did ask on another thread how many shots folk think it may be worth FarFoo posted:

    pre 'magic' putter
10.08.14     Cabo del Sol Full 18 Ready Go     Full 18     All Players     57
10.09.14     Cabo del Sol Full 18 Ready Go     Full 18     All Players     55

10.14.14     Cabo del Sol Full 18 Ready Go     Full 18     All Players     51
10.16.14     Cabo del Sol Full 18 Ready Go     Full 18     All Players     52

Not at all scientific I know, I tried to expand it and his scores continued 54, 54, 53, 53, 55, 53 and 54 until that tournament ended.

Overall an average of 55.75 pre putter and 53.22 after getting it.

There are obviously other factors; getting used to a tournament may be partly responsible for scores dropping but I would also expect him to get a little better with the putter as he gets used to it.

I will not even attempt a more scientific analyses of that as it is too small a snap shot as you basically said.  Nonetheless it is very interesting, and at the least serves to help emphasise the extreme folly of this ill thought out CC Clash / Event Crap, even if it turns out not that big a deal in the long run in actuality, Percetion will always be huge and it will only ever be discussed in a bad way, not as WGT wish many chasing the fleece.  I wonder if these guys could run a bath or organise a pi$$ up in a brewery.

Months in the planning, and money / time utterly wasted there and on any reworking / scraping.  I can only guess it's still being pushed because of arrogance or some equally ill contrived short term bonus scheme for the manager, a bit like the ones that helped cause bankers to cause the GFC.  Little knowledge of long term repercussions or the business as whole,  and  frankly and more importantly no need as they will be gone with their short term bonus determination long before it possibly implodes.  Guessing, but so ill contrived got to be something whacko causing the nonsense, and it can't possibly be a business person with a long term caring goal that has an understanding of the business.

I would like to see this place flourish, and have many constructive opinions elsewhere as this is really, but this whole nonsense is eroding a serious part of the foundation.

Obviously I will have no part of this debacle, and am quite glad that the CC I am in is not supporting it as a CC even though members are free to choose, which I also personally support.

EDIT: I do want to add that this is in no way a personal attack on the mods, and I would not want their job for quids here.  I do very strongly feel this whole thing is a bad thing for the game though, and so am being constructive not negative in that light.

Pretty soon picture dictionaries will have to have a new entry.

Under (insert profanity here) will be a picture of the person who decided slapping this particular piece of putrefying garbage back on the table was a good idea.

    Just a quest.

Do anyone find a difference between the mask for choose to "exit or buy & use pass" that has been replaced by one with "quit" instead of "no thanks". I mean, if you don't have any pass left you've been by one to enter the clash link. I didn't remember if in the previous event there was this "must" action or if it's an issue for this one.

    Cheers.

From the very start, showing or buying a pass at the door has been a must! in the Clash. This is the real objective AFAIS:

Spend credits to support your CC - big Q is, support for what?

Those CCs outside the tops find no scores, no placing, no results when the spook is over. Our minds shall be empty for the most significant answer to "Who has that shiny putter??"

    dedBuNNy:

As players who played in this farce, you have zero right now to complain about anything wrong or broken in the game, you have zero credibility in any negative criticism you bring up, in fact your opinions mean zero now - Well to the population of players who have a spine and actually understand what goes on, why it's wrong.

I think WGT should automatically put a little wgt in front of all your names, it should be required and something you can't remove - sort of like a tag whereby when we see it we know, and there can be no doubt, that you are a wgt drone. so that we can act accordingly when playing and chatting with you, if that happens.

I mean I guess the best part of this round is that we, who chose not to run around the hamster wheel this time around, can sit back and laugh our asses off at those who are mindlessly spinning around in circles fighting for something as idiotic as a garden gnome and an ugly-ass golden putter.

Do you not see the fu*kin' irony in the fact that the gnomes are wearing 'Dunce Caps' ?? No?? Cuz.... well..... ya, never mind..... LoL

Ah well whatever, gnomes.... hahahaha... too funny !

While you're looking down your nose at the players who tried the Clash, make sure you notate your own Country Club mates who are doing pretty well in the Clashes. I'm sure they wouldn't mind having that mark next to their names that you speak of.

    Just saying.... ;)

    Thanks Paul.

I really didn't remember the previous event so I had to quest for this feature. The pass was born to support the CC but why turn it during the clash in a must action, if you don't have any pass left and no credits in the fund, how can I help my club if it's must suppose to be a free game.

Another joke, another good spot turn into a joke. They must be sell'em in the proshop.
