Now I know a lot of thought has gone into the recent changes in WGT land. This might help a bit, change mpc games to Tour masters and Legends tee off from same tee box. The ready goes are a different animal for another discussion. Match play challenge games are a one on one test of golf, the players have the same equipment. Why are there two sets of tee boxes used? This difference has driven a wedge between the classes, so to speak. If the lower tier player does not wish to play a higher tier so be it, but the tee box issue is total bunk. The Legend tier criteria was a massive misjudgment. I think there are about 20% of the whole tier that probably can't break par after update and many just quit playing. I know there are not many people playing mpc anymore and that's a shame for us who hate to just grind away at the big WGT wheel. Well, back to the hamster wheel to get my cheese (next level) Speak amongst yourselves. JB

That sounds great - maybe I can beat more of those pesky TMs who outdrive me that way. It wont work - TMs will start complaining and they will be heard as there is a lot more of them than legends. Solution : Same tees for all.

What about the new 280 yard driver, won't you fellas enjoy playing driver/wedge once you obtain it? It shouldn't be a challenge to achieve a first place finish in a multi-player challenge game, or a Ready-Go tournament as a Legend player when playing against a Tour Master, per WGTicon.

    Am I wrong?

Richard, a 280 driver still leaves me 240+ into several par fours with headwind, but you should know this since you have been there done that from back tees. I could careless about stroke play, in match play it MUST be played from same tee box when equipment is equal. Understand that? JB

Well JB, if it's any consolation, Tour Master's face those 240+ yard shots on a few holes too, on all courses. I can't believe that a 280 yard driver won't be any help for your dilemma.

Why don't you just play Legend players in matches for credits? With a 280 yard driver, Legends are going to shave a stroke or two off their posted scores.

With our averages now frozen, the whole spectrum of the game has changed. Members are going to be stuck in their tiers a whole lot longer now. I can see where the Tour Master will become the new credit earner leaving the Legend player as a minority credit earner. That's lopsided.

You are absolutely correct. The entire paradigm of this game was changed . Legends were left to compete with the same clubs / same distances from the back tees. If the intent was that Legends were so much better then why wasn't the change made relative to score average. Many Masters with better averages were moved to the Tour Master level while other Masters with higher averages were moved to Legends.

I don't think they (WGT) are listening. But after talking to other players I have found that they are all telling me Match Play games are few and far between. Expect an expensive solution. First step - more expensive balls. Second step - more expensive clubs. All of this will eventually require you to play more to reach the desired level to access the new clubs etc. This is a business paradigm not purely a golf game.

Please again, I'm not picking on TM.  The way WGT has botched the new system is mind boggling. You know what f-it I don't give a shilt anymore. Take a great game and totally turn it on it's head, with zero foresight is well, STUPID. Enjoy all. JB
