This is one of the worst rebuttal ideas to the level system there is out there…To the ones who say that this is like just real golf…you are idiots…this is nothing like real golf…the only thing in this world like real golf is REAL ACTUAL GOLF…this is simulated golf...it may mimic real golf as best as computer game can…but let’s be serious.

And to the players who say they should be able to buy any clubs they want...you too are idiots, although you are correct idiots because, yes, you can do this in the real world… you are also most likely the type of players’ who purchase new clubs every year, under the impression that there has been some massive space age breakthrough in golf equipment that will take you from an 18 down  to an 8 just by changing what your swinging… You can purchase whatever you want as equipment goes…if you’ve got thousands of $$$ to spend on custom clubs, with shafts that have the perfectly matched torque & kick, and club heads bent to maximize your launch angle, or maybe a custom weighted putter to better balance your putting stroke…but all of these things, unless you’re still using wooden headed clubs and your grandfather’s rusty hand me down set from 1935, will not automatically gain you a set amount of distance, increased spin, better ball striking, or a consistently set trajectory every time you hit a ball.

This is skill base gaming…you need to earn the right to purchase better equipment…and anyone who thinks otherwise is the guy you see at the club or range every other week trying out some shiny new hybrid or wedge that he used once in a round when he borrowed it from his buddy…hit it perfect, and then the next day ran out to buy it thinking it’s the new key to unlocking perfection in his game…The absolute FOOL who thinks it's the equipment that makes the golfer...the fool who still hasn’t figured out “it’s not the arrow, it’s the archer” that’s the problem.

It is virtual reality (fun to do), but never the less it is what it is. You can go out and buy clubs as you wish, but it does you no good until you spent time and practice (and alot of it). As far as buying a new drver evry year, you have that right (look back at the second sentence). I played for many years with the old small "Persimoon Heads", and have a little bit of a time swing the "460" as age is catching up. But I still go out on the course and take the "skins" from the Twenty Somethings", and WE have alot of fun doing it.

What I guess I'm saying to Bri Rock is, you are really to wound up about this topic. I do agree that it is based on your skill level. I also agree that there are "RINGERS" out there. Instead of bashing this around and not being productive, why not get people together who fells like this(some, which I do) and communicate with The WGT, to do someting about it!

If you read all the tips it does not take long to figuire out this is a game of mathmatics and percentages[ HINT..HINT..]   sooooooooooo read everything you can find about this game in tip section  and the fourms. Practise, play lots of games and before you know it you will be having FUN. If you think this is anything like real golf....well it's a golf like game NOT THE REAL THING.... Oh and by the way you are going to have to spend a few bucks.

Some people don't want to get it. Because if they play poorly it's not their fault. It's WGT's fault They can't admit that it was not WGT's fault that they missed the ding so badly that they sliced the ball into the lake 0n Kia 17 and ruined their good round. It had to have been caused by a meter skip. In a little over a year I have had maybe 4 bad shot they were not my fault, caused by a meter stutter. Was it WGT's fault? NO! because I knew better than to hit the mouse button when the meter stuttered. Because I know that if I let it go that 95% of the time the next shot the meter will be smooth. I played yesterday and had major meter stutters and hit exactly no bad shots due to it. But I was thinking why am I having so many meter stutters when normally I have none. 5 minutes after finishing my round I got my answer. I got a message giving me the results on my weekly virus scan. Duh I had forgotten that my Virus program runs a weekly auto scan Every Wednesday from 11:00 Am until around 1:00 pm or so. And my virus program is on the same drive where Chrome Iron is installed so the scan plays havoc with any flash based game running on Iron. After the scan I played 2 more rounds with no stutters at all.

hmmm, so anyone who wants to buy what he can afford is an idiot?  well maybe they buy items for the wrong reason but, you can't put everyone in the same pigeon hole.  it is quite true that just because you own the latest, and greatest does not mean you can use it as well as others, but this is a for profit video site.  let those who wish buy what they want, rewards don't exist, it helps this site provide for those who otherwise could not enjoy this site.    why do you care what someone else does if he does no harm to anyone but his owm pocketbook and self esteem?  my 2 cents.....
