There is one player in my CC that I cannot message, and he cannot message me. I click on "Send Message", and nothing happens. He gets messages from all others, and so do I...The wall works, but not as convenient...any hints?

Does he have over 255 friends?

Courteney's cryptic question has meaning. If your friend has more than 255 on his friends list, the ones added after 255 will experience issues like this. The only fix is to get the count under 256. 256 is a very important number to a computer and WGT never allowed for this.

    ScottHope explains the number.

It was funny and I'm sure he was joking, or guessing, as he has previously stated he knows zero about programming.

The issue is with the SQL Message DB Query Schema. It is not recognizing anything over, let's say, 255 or so names . WGT most likely has the table query set to only recognize the first 255 user id's in your friend list. Therefore, anything over that number shows as "user not found" in the message client.

Think of it like a "spam filter" in your email client.

The same holds true for your friends list, OP - anything over 255 and you will not see their "Status" on your friends list table <<<<< on the left.

You don't have to be a programmer to understand basic numbers. That's HS stuff he illustrated and makes it easy to understand why 256 is an important number to an adding machine a computer.

The number makes sense, but neither are anywhere close to 255...

Here's one for you Lee. Start a multi-recipient message starting from the first ever friend on your list. Then add each friend in order as listed on the friend page. Let me know if you can add the twenty-first name and up.

I've never tried it before, Luigi. But I will now you said that.

    EDIT: 6:09 PM

No, sir. That's telling me there is an issue in the: messages_to_users table, If this is the Schema they are using.

I doubt they will ever find a solution; it would take too many man-hours to design and test a new database or refocus attention to the existing one.

I guess we'll just have to live with it.
