Some WGT services and I.E. Explorer privacy issues

    A Stroke Match was starting and already we were having internet trouble.  My opponent `s internet was slow and I had to keep hitting retry every 30 second. After the third drop the game was over.  I started to play another when I noticed the Internet Explorer Block. It was blocking eight WGT Services.  I shut off the I.E. Block and the game ran great.  Turn Block back on and it was blocking 3 WGT Services and had to hit retry again.  Turn Block off, ran great.  Turn Block on it was blocking 12 WGT Services.  And so on.

    My question is why WGT would be running services that I.E Block has privacy issues with?

  i am not sure which are you referring to but I would recommend you do not block anything that we run or it will impact the game performance

  What services is IE blocking? So the rest of us can look also

  It never said what services.  Two things about it is when I shut the block off the game ran great and when I turned the block back on the amount of services changed each time.  So with the amount changing each time it makes it strange because it is a privacy issue.  I checked the blocker as I am writing this blog and it is now blocking 6 WGT services.  If you are using I.E. the blocker is at the end of the address bar.

  @ upallnight -

  Try this link, bud. It's relevant to IE 9 - 11.

  Most likely it's blocking ActiveX controls and various other 3d party cookies is why.  Have you gotten any Event 1026 or 1028 messages?

  You're running WIN7 w/ IE 9 or higher, I'll bet. You probably need to re-examine your privacy settings for IE as described in the link provided. Place WGT in your Trusted Zone.
