After the ESA's successful mission to land on a comet,

On December 14th 7am EST the spotlight falls back on NASA for the test flight of Orion, the ship that could take men to Mars and back. We live in a golden age of Astronomy and Science and I love it.

Ditto, only wish I could live longer to see where it all leads too :-(

Landing on the comet was cool beans.

I doubt a trip to Mars by people will really be feasible anytime in the next 50 years.

Inter-planetary travel is fraught with issues, 2 biggies being how long it takes to get from here to there and how to effectively shield people from inter-planetary radiation.

Space is aptly named. There is a lot of space between planets.

a LOT of space in between!

consider this - every planet in our solar system could fit between earth and the moon if side by side - neat and tidy

    useless fact but trippy

Number one, meet me in transporter room two.

What I wouldn't give to be a NASA Engineer now.

Maybe moon rocks can be used as some sort of fuel, so we don't pay 3 bucks a gallon anymore.
