Clash rounds = Tournament or not?

  So can I try to put this to bed in plain English:

  Clash rounds on the normal courses are ranked rounds and DO affect your average.

  Clash rounds on the Par 5s and Par 3s are ranked rounds but DO NOT affect your average.

  Only a theory, but it is my belief that only half points are awarded for each round due to the free CC passes being given every 4 hours instead of the usual 12.

  p.s. does it really matter and does anyone actually care?

  Again, what is "normal"? LOL

  You have it right.

  But, concerning the half points, which difference would it make? We can play tournaments instead of the Clashes and get the full XPs. I believe that some do so who despise the Events...

  This is so true as I use the free 4hr CC Passes during a Clash to play in one of our CC tournaments. Doing this earns me and my CC ~518 XPs per pass vs. the measly amount of XPs earned while playing a Clash round.
  
  With the above in mind...the 5 free CC Passes awarded to the top Clash teams aren't worth winning.  You actually earn more XPs using all of the 4hr CC Passes playing in Tournaments vs. playing Clash rounds and then playing the 5 (or less) Clash Participation Awarded CC Passes.  These "awarded" Clash CC Passes also prevent you from receiving your daily 2 free CC Passes until you exhaust the 5 awarded passes, which in reality makes the 5 awarded Clash Participation CC Passes more like 3 passes.  So playing in Clash events is a complete waste of time IMHO.
  
  As for despising the Clashes...yep...that's me to tee...mainly because of this...

  All correct, but why are you so eager for XPs for you (L96) and, more so, for your L14 CC? The CC XPs are meaningless, and the personal XPs are drizzle on a hot stovetop.

  Why not relax and play for fun only? 1,000 XPs per day including CDP are more than enough!

  I don't play the clash. I'm wondering what motivates a CC to spend so much $$ to win it? ...Prizes aren't great; XP points aren't needed, and bragging rights fall mostly on deaf ears, considering how the Clash is set up.

  Yet the Georgian motivates its' players to participate in, and win, almost every clash. Many CCs have trouble getting members to participate in almost anything.

  So hats off to them, I guess.

  It's all about access to new gear plus I want my CC to know I'm there for them.  Call it loyalty as I've learned a lot from my CC and its members.

   "This is very common . Coming from an owner of 3 CC's and a Champion . I get messages all the time saying they would never go near here for fear they would be eaten by wolves . 

    I mention this for a couple reasons . One being that unfortunately this is a sad reality . And two because you would be a member of said pack . That built this ever present reputation in the main forums .

  I hope his membership, or his friends, never need top cover from him.
