I am somewhat new to WGT - have now started playing with another member.  We were in the 15th on a match with one-stroke separation and he was interrupted.  We both looked for a "pause game" feature but there does not seem to be one. He was ultimately disconnected based on shot clock violation.

A "pause game" feature is needed - bathroom breaks, phone calls, any of a number of things.

How about putting this on your drawing board?

    Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion, probably not something that will be put into the game though.

Just a little curious as to why not . I think its a great idea iv'e even requested the same thing myself with exactly the same answer...any chance you could elaborate on your answer Mr Shoe.

You get a couple of minutes if you dont click the button after a hole when it's the other player's turn to drive first. More than that if you don't mind taking a warning. If the break needed is longer than that then it's unfair on the other player to keep them waiting. Just my opinion.

Rather than having a pause button. How about the option of playing a multi player game where you don't have a timer. Not something I would use, but maybe a lot would.

The hell.  You can't pause real-time games.  I can just imagine someone playing World of Warcraft in battlefields wanting to hold up a sign saying "brb bathroom, please don't kill me".

Time your AFKs to occur right after you shoot, so that you can spend your between-shots time peeing, eating, or whatever.

    Hi guys

This has been discussed at length before. While pause does sound good, it brings up a few issues, such as one side keep trying to pause (to bug other side). Also, duration of the game is important.

If someone has to go for a while or be interrupted, then that's a reality. personally, i can take phone calls as I am playing and other things. Obviously I am just me though.

Many games have pause features, but wasnt asking for a pause button in other online games ..just this 1.....more suited for when your playing with friends who dont mind pausing for 2 or 3 mins as i can see and would expect some people would abuse it when playing with non friends...there is the ability to agree to end certain games here ...players should also agree to pause a game.

Now also curious as to why the game length is important.??

Just my view .......and i understand not all views are the same ...its what makes the world go round.....most games have features that some like and some dont like...just saying.
