I do not believe influencing / by default putting pressure on people is the way to go.
Maybe easy for me to say I know as the CC I am in does not support it. one person in it did have a go though, not realising he was on his own and that was fine with all. Anyone is free to play whatever they want though, and personally I think that is the way to keep it. Not for me to say what other CCs do, but that is my opinion (and of the owner etc) in the CC I am happy in.
We are not really geared for it anyway as it's really aimed at T Pro or under IMO (Master at most) as they can often get round faster, and we are openly more for enthusiastic Legend + (Master v seldom considered).
Whilst I do think something aimed at being non competitive, just a zero skill bang round is silliness personified and could not think of anything more boring, I personally would not be in the camp trying to stop others. Like I say easy to say perhaps as the CC I am is aimed at enthusiastic Legends (golfers) who like some skill base, and so with an event really geared to T pro and under (winning wise for quickness round with even free balls) zero skill needed we kind of rule ourselves out any which way.
Bridge won't be part of it (save for a drastic change) but not because of any boycott, it's just because 99% of us would not be a$$ed with the nonsense.
EDIT: Should say nothing against T Pros as all been there. I could not advocate this to any though as buying passes for half the XP, going quick (starter ball good as any) and learning nothing for a virtual dog just seems beyond daft IMO, but if a few feel that's for them up to them. JMO v another.
