    Romax:
BTW.... Your invite system is still fkd as well WGT. A friend invited me steady for 5 mins.tonight and nothing showed on my screen.  This site needs some work.....Soon

Just to also highlight this point as it's v annoying.

Much of the time at my CC we set up games from out skype room, and so we all know what's (not) happening.  Can see how some get frustrated thinking what's the point of going green when don't accept but much of the time it's WGTs issue, no invite showing at all.

Please put near the top of this list of stuff to do..........

The only problem putting anything on WGT's list of things to do, is the manner in which it's done, resulting in a possible fix, but 2 more broken issues resulting from that fix.

They might want to take a page from Hogan's book when it comes to changes and fixes, and follow the "1 teaspoon of medicine vs. the whole bottle" approach.

Another possibility is contact some of our stateside schoolchildren who are on break this week, and see if they would like to make a little extra cash using their new Christmas tablets.

we also play a lot using teamspeak and skype so we know when invites are not coming through the "fix" we have found is the person NOT receiving the invite is able to send to the others seems to work but so much time wasted setting up games between members and we find that the invite system especially in a/s games is totally gone to crap. nice to see no response from wgt about the problem but that par for the course with then and yes we do all the clear cache crap that seems to be their stock reply to any problem encountered with this game. it appears that their approach is "it aint broke so lets break fix it"

The object-oriented paradigm should ensure fully modular client-server hierarchical code structures... even non OOP code, if designed with thought as wgt surely would be, is:

    * This part we have identified as faulty (this object or module of code)..

In other words, irrespective of how the buggy module interacts, changing it, even fixing this bug, even if to introduce another bug within that module can not break other modules. Cause other bugs? Sure. But break other code? No. Not fully encapsulated or modular code, OOP or not.

On the other hand, if the code is not modular, or designed and coded that way, then fixing a bug is like trying to pull one pick-up stick from the pile.

Hope that makes bug reporting, however piecemeal, seen as worthwhile. :)

Not meaning to sound arrogant cdefghi, and your point if valid means the game will only get worse over time. But the only way a program that is both well maintained and truly modular can get worse over time is when a company spends too much time on new features and not enough time on making existing codebases robust.

Yes, just to re-assure you guys, I have been in email contact with WGT support on this issue, with several emails back and forth to give them more info on the possible "no backspin" bug.

If you have received mails from WGT about this issue, why is WGT not commenting here or in the bugs forum section about it?....if WGT is trying and expecting soon to fix the bug.

I still have my doubts WGT is trying to fix anything.

    Eric

I know I'm starting to sound like a WGT advocate Eric, but in the few years for me on wgt, and many bug reports via email I've sent, this is the first time almost ever that they asked for more details on the issue.

Every other time it has been a copy-and-paste "clear your internet cache / clear flash and read this guide. Oh, and if you have any further questions, please reply to this email".

At least this time they wanted specifics: which holes, which course etc.
