No back spin...is it only me?

  Tried a few A/S games on Sunday.

  Now skype talking (with friends) it was a mess and annoying getting a game together.  We all had different people in the same lobby sometimes, even though chat was still was showing in the box OK.  

  As for getting team confirmations across well that was not easy, lol.  If we did not have the skype speaking part on, well would just have given up.

  BS in one round a couple of us seemed to be having issues with yardage, but another round just fine..................

  Something needs fixing that's for sure.

  Been playing alternates for the last 4-5 days and several times I do not get any Back Spin in my shots even if I had added it ....it is only me?

  I can see myself spinning and not getting into the game but after many seconds. It is bloody annoying to say the true :(

  It does not happen the same if playing on my own.

  Please WGT, fix it, or at least least us know what is going on.

  I have been playing alternates for the last week using Maxthron....no problems with back spin or punch.

  Although, connection is still an ugly issue for alternates. I consider myself lucky after ending a 9 hole alternate despite having to reconnect several times each game.

  Definitely, something has happened in the last two months her in WGT concerning alternates. I have around 1300 alternates in my account and I see that only for the last two months is very difficult to play those, sorry to say but it is not as enjoyable as it used to be.

  Missing Comodo tho. Maxthon gives me a stuttering meter but not impossible to handle.

  Any chance to fix this WGT? (5 times I have asked the same question :/ )

  I can't. Business as usual for me and my Dragon. There's something you might try that could fix the problem. Use CD.

  • Unequip your entire bag and put the starters in. 
  • Clear your cache and cookies.
  • Log out and close the browser.
  • Log back in to the game client and start a game.
  • End the game and put your equipment back in your bag
  • Start a game and see if you can still verify your problem.

  I'm just guessing but if you have a corrupt club file that might have been sticking around, emptying your bag and clearing your cache/cookies would force new files to be sent from WGT when you start the 2nd game with your regular equipment. Can't hurt to try.  :-)

  I have been here long enough to see that things are not working in alternates!!!!!!

  Disconnections every single game, after 9 holes u can not remove the flag any longer (screen is locked) avatar in NOT transparent even tho u ask for transparent avatar, you see the shot arrow or the putter line when NOT pressing the aim, etc

  How many times I need to point this out?

  I am the guy who plays here only for the fun and I pay alternates for the most, but since the last two months it is a nightmare playing alternates!!! :(. SOMETHING has changed and makes playing alternates so bloody difficult.

  Don't ask me to clean the cache, history, etc....I bloody know that to do to keep my setup optimal to play WGT...please!

  Hey Jim, just played an alternate with an old friend, he was using Comodo Dragon and did NOT have BS once in our alternate, we all four saw the shot. He mentioned having seen the same problem recently playing alternates but though it was himself forgetting to add BS....damn.

  It is not my game, pc or connection, something is clearly wrong!!.

  Well, who bother posting here any longer :(, according to WGT all is "normal"...when 80% of the users are having problems with alternates

  Disagree with the no back spin on Dragon.  Inside of 60 yds I can draw the ball up to 10 or 12 yds.  BUT, just miss the ding buy a little bit and spin goes AWAY.

  I had 3 shots with full or near-full backspin applied, all from the fairway, in a skins game just now behave like no backspin was applied.

  Am using maxthon browser, in fact, nothing has changed at my end for a while now. The first two shots, hit basically the distance I always hit for the elevation and wind, and the shots, both with near full backspin landed just short of the pin and rolled 25 yards off the back of the green. The third shot, on kiawah island, 161 yards, slight tail-wind. So I hit a 6 iron (175 yard max) 165 yards with near full backspin and it landed 15 or so yards short (short!) of the green and rolled 30 yards to the other side of the green. I know my L85 nikes well, and the platinum nike RZN L92 balls are some of the best balls you can buy for control and spin. This is the first time this has happened to me.

  The other thing I noticed (and I hope wgt admin are reading this) that on the first shot at least, the spin dot on the ball was set at 3/4 backspin, which is unusual, as it is normally sitting right on the mi-point on the ball.

  I think I know what the problem is ... they monkeyed with the spin out of the rough. That code is now affecting fairway shots. Sometimes ...

  Even though I haven't experienced any no backspin problems out of fairways or fringes, I wouldn't doubt that the cause of the problem is due to the removal of spin from the rough, due to the number of people impacted, and the obvious fact that it suddenly appears after the "improvement" ...

  I sent wgt a bug report and they have acknowledged it, saying they are aware of the problem, which is good news.
