Stroke play invites not going through

  My buddy and I play almost everyday. Starting on 12/11 and again on 12/14 he sent me an invite for a stroke play game , but it never go to me. We got on the phone and I sent him the invite and it went through. 

  We take turns picking courses and this is a minor inconvenience, but still we have had no problems in almost a year of playing, Any ideas?

  I have been having the same problem for the past two days.

  I can only start a game.

   do not receive invites.

  Thanks for reporting this folks and we apologize for the inconvenience. This will be a tough one to track down so your help will be very appreciated. We will need some more data since there are so many variations in sending invites.

  Does this occur in all game modes or a specific type? (I.e. Only Skins and Alt Shot games or all multi player modes)

  Are you never able to receive the game invite or does it happen randomly?

  One player stated the invite was visible in the game client but not on the profile page. Do all the players experience the same situation, that you can accept the invite in the game client but not on the profile page?

  Does this occur on a specific course or all courses?

  Any other information that you have will help us track this down. Thank you for the assistance.

  My problems have been (Stroke play) from two different players  sending invites. Both times I have had to send.

  Have not tried accepting via Game client. 

  Will get back to you on that one.

  Our country club has a couple of members who are having trouble receiving multi-player game invites (both Alt and Stroke). They don't receive the invite and we show them as spinning awaiting acceptance.

  If we cancel the game and they send an invite, things appear to be ok with us receiving their invites. We have had them update to the latest Flash 16 and run CC Cleaner. Still no luck.

  I will contact our member(s) who seems to have the most difficulty with this. What information do you require? O/S, browser, Java, and flash version? Browser add-ons?

  We have experienced this problem since around 12/12.  We can play anything that is no more than 3 players.  4 player games do not work...3 people get an invite but the 4th doesn't.  It keeps "spinning" and lookd like it's trying to load the 4th player but never does.  Problem occurs in either stroke or alternate shot formats.  One interesting note...one player scoopdort (scoopdort@hotmail.com) can not get ANY invites for any game but if he initiates the game, it will work.  May be coincidence but it started the first time we tried to play the new course, Bandon Dunes.  But, since then we've tried other courses and the problem persists.  We've double-checked to be sure no "blocks" have been put on inadvertently and have "optimized" all our systems.

  Jeff, I think WGT needs to recalibrate the whole game. I have been noticing a lot of flaw2s in the game ever since the same date you mentioned. Friday, 12/12 I was playing a stroke game at St. Andrews and I had a 75 yard shot to the hole on 5, so I used a 70 yard club with 10 mile wind against me, took shot and al went over 120 yards out of bounds, and it's been happening on quite a few holes since.

  Numerous members of our club our experiencing the same in multiplayer  games. Doesn't seem to matter if it is stroke ,alt or skins or 2,3 ,4 player games. Some can only send invites. They are not receiving them. They have tried sever browsers. Started around the 12th. Makes it tough in CC organized tournys when there are 2 that can't receive invites.

  Have tried with all statuses ( available, available to friends ,and ready for a game ).

  Have tried to type in manually.

  Some come threw but cancel right away.

  Time if day doesn't seem to matter.

  I can gather a list of effected members if you wish.

  Thanks for any help on this.

   

  ps . Also not receiving messages when receiving gifts. Did get it on e-mail though.

  JUST TO SAY WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH INVITES ALSO. FRIENDS CANNOT GET INVITES.WE ALSO ARE IN A CLUB BUT NOT SURE THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE

  Had to start the game.

  This time it was a third person I asked to set the game up.
