Regarding Cheating

  Wait, my understanding is that JT just recorded his round. The rules clearly stated that each player had to stream their round live in order to be eligible.

  Really?  Does it show players pressing pre-set hotkeys on their keyboard?  A hotkey runs a short program which can do things when certain pixels on the screen change color or other conditions occur.  This is a client-side game with most things occurring on the player's own computer.  Hard to stop a determined cheater under those conditions.

  Until twitch can show the players key presses on the keyboard, you can not know what is happening with program execution just because you can see their desktop.

  CE is worthless here if you don't know how to read/write code, or have the hex code cheat and know how to overwrite the current code as the meter has no "value" to search for... if you paid for it with the code already loaded, then the only purpose it has is to cheat on WGT....

  You don't understand, but I bet a programmer and the cheat kiddies do.  It is not all about slowing down a meter.  That is only the simplest one that you have heard about.  I won't explain further.  Wgt understands or I hope they do. 

  Do as I do if you want to not be upset.  Buy reasonably price ball.  Play for fun.  Don't RG.  Cheaters do not get my credits.

  As for the dial-up... Remember how it was all just images? No way anyone was streaming anything over 33.3... hahahahaha   Aaaah ya, those were the good ol days. LOL

  Have to agree with that part... way too much emphasis place on the whole 'meter' thing. While hitting the ding is great, and does help there is so much other 'interference' being throw at your shot... well if it's being applied.

  This is not an installed game, resources and assets don't reside on your computer.. everything you use and interact with is sent to you via your connection.

  That should be a real big hint.

  A pixel is a point on your screen.  To the machine it is a location in memory.  This is not about a slow meter.  That is a butcher knife.  A more elegant cheat program would be a scalpel.  That is all I will say because most here obviously do not understand. 

  Live well and don't risk credits you cannot afford to lose.

  Personally, i think WGT's credability has just been thrown out the window with players who have been cheating allowed to continue to do so with a pat on their back and a few gift cards more from wgt.  Not spending another $$ on any game here.  I know my 10% rake doesn not add up to much, but its a START!

  Do you want to make that official assumption? I'm not saying you're totally incorrect but, just for the record, I'm not going to conclude this is the absolute truth.

  related golf stuff: FWIW I'm playing the free Jack Nicklaus golf games of the past and in expert mode on the pro tees I'll be lucky to break even on St Andrews. The signature edition is cool, also free, and I'm getting about 2 under but that's in novice mode!
